I think Gitdog should have his own TV series
P cat has funny little routines too. I can walk past him and go upstairs 30-odd times a day and he's not the slightest bit interested. But when I go upstairs to bed he always, without fail, comes running and attacks my feet before I get past the second step. Weirdo.0 -

Monkey cat most definitely has set routines, and has a similar one in which he waits for D to go to bed, goes into stalking mode, runs to the top of the stairs and then attacks his hands or feet! He also comes down stairs every night at about 8.15 for his dreamies!
The time he was either frightened or was playing a game (I'm not sure which) in which he wouldn't step on the living room carpet, then months later the landing carpet was hilarious!
The time he continuely looked under the washing machine, making us get on the floor and do the same was another favourite! Those two things were routines for months!
Animals are just awesome!0 -
Thank you for the support regarding work. Much better day today.
Family member is in a domestic violence relationship. They both work together in a position of trust with access to vulnerable people. The man has a child from a previous dv relationship who us witnessing the violence. The woman keeps leaving and then returning.
What, if anything, do I do?0 -
Speak to the NSPCC 0808 800 5000. They have been brilliant when I have spoken to them. I would personally pass the child's details over to them but tell them that you wish to remain anonymous.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. It's a difficult one Welly. I have a family member in an abusive relationship. You have to move so carefully because the last thing you want to do is anger him as he'll just take it out on her. Short of kidnapping her, all we can do is let her know that if she wants to leave we'll do everything we can to help and protect her. My relative will never leave her husband and its hard to know that there is nothing we can do to help her.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

code,
when does the time limit run out on your theory test result? (Don't you have to pass the practical within a set time of passing the theory, or do the whole lot again?)
Why don't you plan on taking a practical test every two months for the next 5 years? (If you can ignore the cost). Think of them not as driving tests but 'lessons under pressure'. It's probably cheaper than a driving lesson anyway! If you pass earlier than that, then it's a win.
Or do what I did and firmly grip the examiner's knee, instead of the gear stick, before you have even left the test centre. Worked for me, even if it was an accident.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. I agree you can't do much about the dv woman. But vulnerable people and children need to have someone made aware to assess the risk.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. I don't really have many details on the child and don't know how to get them without arousing suspicion.
I would usually say that you can't do much until the person decides to leave, but with a child involved it doesn't sit right0 -

You don't have to have details of the child. Just give the dad and stepmum details and say about the child and vulnerable people.
I wouldn't mention it to anyone in real life, except Beardy One (if you want to tell him, but even then you don't have to tell him now).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
