I could have written that Birdie (well, not the 5 yr part but definitely the utter lack of motivation). I've got loads to do, but I just totally can't be bothered. I should have had my 6 month review this week but as ever my boss didn't bother. It's definitely nothing personal, (I'm told this a lot lol), but it's hard to be interested when you know that everything you do won't even be looked at for months anyway. I'm not even on the priority list, let alone anywhere near the top of it.

Maybe time to look for another new job?!
So sorry you are feeling down, birdie. It sounds as if your manager is supportive at least. Don't push yourself too much. if it is too hard to keep working then a week to breathe could be helpful. It sounds as if your workplace would understand.

I have thought about having some time off but with DS at home, it's actually easier to come to work when I'm not feeling like taking part in life! :o I had Thu/Fri off last week as I was poorly and DS just wore me out, I have no idea how he can have soooo much energy! :p

My manager is pretty good with me though and leaves me alone if it looks like I need it, I just wish that I could buck myself up but I can't. Any tips on how to shake the fog out of my head?!

DH put the xmas tree up and new fairy lights all around the living room yesterday as a surprise for littlewing. When she walked in to the house, she declared it her best day ever! She was so excited for me to see it that she told me that when I walked in, I was going to faint!

It is lovely and DH and I had a (somewhat rare) cuddle on the sofa to the glow of Christmas shimmers last night.

So lovely! Little Wing sounds so sweet! :)

Thinking about putting our decorations up this weekend although we don't have a tree! We usually get a big real one but last year with DS crawling about we just bought a cheap little artificial one and put it up off the floor and we couldn't be bothered storing it so just got rid after Christmas so we need to find a new tree! Still going to have to be a small one though as DS would probably try to climb it if we had it on the floor! The Muppets Christmas Carol will be on whilst decorating of course as it is the greatest film ever and DS *needs* to know this and grow up knowing every word to it like I do!

Maybe we should all watch it at the same time over the weekend - we can pretend it's movie night in the fort :rotfl::santa2::xmassmile:xmastree:

Great idea, tea, I would really like that (as long as it doesn't clash with X factor...)

    Sunday afternoon?

Oh good idea. Best Christmas film ever. I like the bit where gonzo is annoyed with Rizzo and he kisses him on the nose.

  • Best Christmas film ever <3 BUT I have to wait until Christmas Eve to watch it, so I will be reading a book in the corner of the fort.

Am pretty tired today - had the cheerios' party and awards last night, it was fantastic and apparently they all had a whale of a time.

I just wish I'd taken today off...!

My ex used to say that was me and him whenever I did something exasperating, haha! My current agrees :o:D

    Afternoon my Lovelies,

    Not much to say.

Well been let down again by a man, No apology nothing. Another knock to my low self confidence. It has to be something wrong with me. Not sure what I am doing wrong but it must be something.

    Oh well.

Got more important things to think about. Such as getting back in to work some how. Not sure how at the moment.

Got dr's this afternoon. Oh and it seems husband may have gall stones!!!! Got to wait until the new year for a scan to find out for sure.

    Yours

    Calley
