Mine is cheap cider from underage drinking in the park. I shudder about my alcohol induced blackouts. I actually stopped hanging out with a group of friends after I got spiked in a club once, the bouncers threw me out and none of them came with me. I remember running down the street to get away from a really pervy guy who wouldn't leave me alone, then a flash to being in a taxi and the next thing I remember is waking up the next morning. My 'friends' all thought it was funny. I was furious as I'd never leave any of my friends in that state.
I don't really drink much anymore because it got to the stage where I'd wake up the next morning feeling ashamed, even if I hadn't done anything embarrassing. Also I get caustic when I'm drunk.
Ok. Weird one. Going to penguin it cause its so juvenile and stupid I just found out that the weirdly attractive at certain points of the month colleague is getting married and I'm oddly bothered by it. No idea why because I'm married, I'd never cheat on DH, and it's not like beyond one drunken night anything ever happened there. To be honest, he's turned into a bit of a pen1s recently. Still bothers me though. Weird.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Not weird or juvenile, code! Sometimes we can feel upset for the end of our fantasies even if that is all they ever were. I think it's totally understandable and I would probably feel the same.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Thanks WaS. That makes me feel better. As much as I love Mr CP, he doesn't always pay that much attention to me, and I'm not a headturner so it was kind of nice to have that sort of fantasy option if you know what I mean. Now I have to go back to being human wallpaper.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

I know we've had this before, ages ago, but it is funny, and pertinent to the thread, being the original Crotch-Biting Penguin!(I just lurve spiders!)

Aw code, have a hug. I'm sorry Mr CP isn't more attentive. Little fantasies can help get us through the day sometime, there is nothing wrong with it and we all have them to help us get through life. Totally understandable that you would feel sad to lose that.
Hahahaha! Brilliant, Pyxis! Penguins are surprisingly bitey. When I met them I had some biting my bum, others were nipping my feet. It doesn't hurt but they seem to like nibbling humans!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

They say they're going to return the cardboard bins for Christmas. They better had, or the queues to the tip will enormous after Christmas and new year! I've already got a cardboard mountain in the kitchen!

Regarding your penguin, exactly what WaS said. It isn't juvenile or weird, but a perfectly understandable reaction.0 -

I agree with WaS, it's not juvenile or weird or stupid. For a long time I had a crush on one of my friends, I knew it could never work, and I never said anything (years later she said while very drunk something to the effect that it was a good job that we never got together as she would have stabbed me with a kitchen knife in an argument over housework, she's by her own admission obsessive about it and I'm ... completely the opposite).
When she got married I was delighted for her, as she had found a great bloke that made (and makes) her really happy, you could see it just by looking at her. At the same time I was sad for me, because even though I knew she had someone that was much better for her than I would have been, that tiny spark of longing that wouldn't die was finally snuffed out.
On an entirely unrelated subject, does anyone have any experience of Zopiclone? I have a perscription in my pocket (same day GP appointments are a thing where I live) which I'll need to get filled tomorrow as I didn't fancy the trip to the late night chemist in ASDA. I'm so tired at the moment I feel like I've had enough alcohol to put me over the limit and I can tell my driving is impared, so leaving it to tomorrow.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
