Ooh, by the way, I finally got a lightbox!

It came today. Haven't switched it on yet, because by the time I'd had my hair done and stopped jingling all over the place, it was too late. (It says not to use it four hours before going to bed).

So tomorrow will be the Big Switch-On!

What does a lightbox do? Is it one of those SAD thingies?
I always fancied one of those alarm clocks that mimic sunrise instead of nasty loud noises at silly o'clock but they're a lot of money if you're not sure it'll actually work.

  • Hello and welcome, Disorganised_me :)

Finally got up to Gretna to do some Christmas shopping!
I thought the only reason to go to Gretna was if you were 16 and wanted to get married!

Look out for the aldi special offer ones. I got mine about 3 yrs ago and love it. Think they had them again a few weeks ago. It was either £24 or £29, can't remember which.

It has 9 light levels, 6 different colours, light can come on anything up to 30mins before the alarm, 6 alarm sounds and an fm radio :)
  • Hey Disorganised! Biscuits are good, although not Oreos please as I have had a bad experience with those!

Just been out for a meal with friends from old horrible work. Was nice to switch off for a bit and leave Escapette with hubby. I did get this text half way through the meal though... 'Cake. Bring cake'. So she hadnt been as well behaved as she promised to be!

Start new job on Tuesday, so treating myself to putting up decorations when I get home from that.

Just had a chat with hubby as I had a hulk moment this morning. We were trying to come up with a way he could tell me to snap out of it, without making me worse.

Traffic lights - he can give you a red light without having to open his gob and make it worse.

    Cake - that universal panacea.:rotfl:

Wow. Escapette is texting for cake already? :rotfl:

    So tired.

  • Good idea Elsien with the traffic lights. I apologised for this morning, but apologising is no good unless I can change how I behave next time. Apparently I was yelling at the bed for being too small!

Is three days a week too much to be leaving Escapette with MIL while I am at work? My mum said I need to look into sending her to nursery a couple of days a week otherwise she will bond with MIL more than me. NOT what I wanted to hear when I an anyway struggling with the thought of leaving her.

I'm not a parent, but my immediate response is you're her mum. I can't see how she's going to be in any doubt about that.
It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, what is your instinct telling you is best for her?

Who was it who was thinking about getting a rabbit (as in animal)?

welly, escapette will not bond with anyone else as much as you and daddy (although you will have moments when you will think she does).

Do you think your mum is a teensy bit jealous?

Why don't you see how it goes with MIL and keep the idea of nursery as a back up. She'll presumably get the offer of nursery when she's two anyway or whatever the rules are now.
