Good luck codemonkey!
It looks like I am going to be making a big purchase tonight in buying a new phone...eeek..I do want a new one after my, very old one, broke a few weeks ago..and a chance to buy the one my partner has recommended has come up...it is £200 which to me is a lot of money....I am starting to learn that it is okay to spend some of my wages on myself, not just savings and bills :P0 -

I also have an orange iMac and a blue iMac plus keyboards and accessories up there, for the same reason. I just love their shape!
I did draw the line at keeping my old Mac Performa computer, and StyleWriter II printer, which date from the 1990s! So I'm not a complete hoarding freak!
I used to have a drawer full of assorted cables, and wires, but most of them did go during a clearout. Of course, then I found I'd cleared out a cable I needed for something.
Best of luck, Code.

Good find WW! They look very posh and have a look of Hotel Chocolat about them.

I have all of my old phones, including one that is ten years old and pretty much a brick. I am with you Code, I can't just abandon them for a shiny new model. It feels cruel! Well done on the weight loss! My Christmas dress and leggings are despatched and I am waiting for them excitedly.
Big hugs to tea and code for the work situation, wish I could help.
Thank you so much for the gift ideas! I haven't looked at the links for ideas for me, I have just emailed them straight to WaSp. Hopefully it will help him!
Today I am being totally irrationally upset because my american friend's professor received a bad evaluation from an outside agency. All of the students adore him and get top marks but this evaluator decided he was useless and now his job is under threat. This man has really helped my friend outside of classes both professionally and personally in dealing with her work whilst suffering with depression, she cannot fault him. He cried when he told the class his evaluation and apologised for letting his students down. My friend is really upset for him and because I'm me now I am too, and cannot stop thinking about how sad he must feel.
I know it's silly to be upset over someone I have never met but I put myself in his shoes and imagine how I would feel. I get far too invested and upset over things like this, particularly if a friend is upset, too. It feels like it is someone I know who has helped me. Not just me that gets weirdly attached to things then?! :rotfl: I've been meaning to throw out a v knackered pair of slippers for ages but I can't quite bring myself to do it!
Send them to Gitdog. It might stop him from murdering my new ones.
(PS Only put used footwear on eBay if you don't mind unusual messages from foot fetishists asking if you're sure they smell and please can you model them.)All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Same thing happened to my college tutor, WaS. I think they appealed. She was brilliant, actually. Ayway, she's still at the college and I still recommend her course.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
