  • And there crashes the mood, watching some of the videos of last night and realising how horrible and fat I really am. :(

Of course, that's sending me straight for the chocolate.

Maybe it's time to go back to the doctor.

Pyxis, is this the stuff? http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Advanced-First-Aid-Anti-Viral-Hand-Foam-200ml_1036207/ I'm popping into Boots today to collect my advent calender, I'm going to buy one for my Mam. She hasn't got a spleen. She's on high doses of pencillin (I think that's what it is?) because basically without it her immune system would be zero. I might even buy one for myself as I don't want to end up with it going to my chest and giving another asthma attack :(
Yes! That's the stuff! It comes as a large canister and also,a small one for handbags, etc. as far as I know, only Boots seem to sell it.

    HBS,

Would you allow anyone else to talk to you like that. No. So please be kind to yourself.

    Read this

People who have never had a weight problem really do think that is as simple as keeping your gob shut and exercising more.

Its a lot more complex than that. And I know that myself. I have struggled with my weight all my life. And still do on a daily basis.

I am eating now. not really sure why but I am. But eating cheese biscuits I bought for Xmas LOL!!!

take it a day at a time. have a crap day today then start again tomorrow.

    Yours

    You OK Calley?

Hope everyone else is well today.

I'm shattered. Escapette had her first jabs yesterday and spent all yesterday evening screaming. She eventually sheriff but was agitated in her sleep so I couldn't settle.
She seems better this morning but now I feel like a zombie.

I know the jabs are necessary, if the way she had been is only a tiny bit like what the actual diseases are like then I really feel for anyone who comes down with the real thing. Still feel guilty for putting her through it, and knowing she will have to do it again and again.
Katy, it's worth remembering that crying loudly is pretty much the only means of communication a baby has. Add to that the fact that every single thing in their environment is brand new and hence scary, and they will cry an awful lot! And don't forget that the crying is, 999 times out of a 1000, out of all proportion to the scary/painful stimulus incurred. A slight discomfort results in crying, a new shape in view results in crying, a strange voice or noise results in crying, a tiny pinprick results in crying, a damp botty results in crying, being a bit peckish results in crying, another tiny pinprick results in crying.
So you see, you haven't put her through anything really horrible at all! It's just baby being baby!
She can't say, "Mummy, that injection has made my arm feel a bit achey", so she cries!
I'd be more concerned if she didn't react at all! So at least she's perfectly normal! :)

  • Thank you Calley. It means a lot. I continually struggle with self-hatred and will beat it one day :)

Am trying to think of nice things. One of the cheerios said I was an amazing coach last night :)

I know the feeling. I really don't like myself and so full of self doubt. Just don't understand why anyone would like me or want to get to know me.

I know deep down I am a nice person and have a lot to offer the right person. But due to everything that has happened over the last 9 years, husbands stroke, my recent ex, no one is going to find out as I am not prepared to invest time, energy or emotion on anyone.

See your team think you are Fab and a great coach. And you are. So you have something to be proud of.

Its a day at time thing with everything. Set mini targets. Like this week I will loose 1lb. Don't think about how much in total you would like to loose. I need to get back in that mind set as well.

Its easy to slip backwards and we all do it. But you have all of us here to talk to. I do wish I had a normal relationship with food but I don't. Its funny I was in a supermarket with my mum the other night and we were saying how many different soft drinks there were. My mum is 70 and said all they had was tizer:rotfl: now you get an aisle just for fizzy drinks, one for crisps and sweets etc.

I was born in the early 70's and fizzy drinks, sweets etc were all for special occasions not every day food that is expected now.

You have a big squish, hug or handshake.

    Yours

    Calley

I also have an orange iMac and a blue iMac plus keyboards and accessories up there, for the same reason. I just love their shape!

I always wanted a pink iMac but never got one! :o How about upcycling into a pet bed or fish tank?! Would look so cool!!

  • Thank you again Calley, squishy hugs just the ticket today :)

The goal for this week is to do at least an hour's exercise a day, except for my rest day, and have three completely alcohol-free days. I'm not a huge drinker but I'm terrible for a "swift half" after work or impromptu night out playing pool with a few beers!

Birdie I love the cat bed :)

Ah hbs, the old self-hatred from seeing a photo or video of yourself. I know it so well. I felt quite good at that wedding in September - I'd lost weight and had a pretty dress. I'm only in one photo with my back to the camera and all you can see is back fat and I look ginormous!! Not a good feeling!

Good ideas. Seems a shame to gut them, though.

Just had my first telephone scam re. my computer. Didn't do anything, but it worried me. I googled the number which came up on my display, and several people said that the person calling knew their computer number. How can they know that? I was worried that they can get into your computer if the router is plugged into the same landline as the phone, which in most cases it is.

Edit. Just learned that the number they give out is one that is the same for all Windows computers, and they rely on the target person not realising that.
I posted a thread on the IT board asking for help, as I was so worried, and they've been very helpful. Virtually instantly! This Forum is a fantastic place for getting answers to worrying queries!
