Speaking of photos, is a mother daughter photoshoot a horrible idea for a Christmas present?

Depends on your mum! Neither my beloved mother nor I are in the least photogenic so we'd probably get told off for breaking the props and laughing. If however you are normal people (I suspect you are :D) then it sounds lovely.

Not photogenic and I am hideously ugly. I may break the camera.

Right.... *does best stern face*, there is far too much self-beating up going on here today.

    Repeat after me....
    "we are all beautiful"
"we are all kind and caring"
"we have all overcome stuff and become stronger because of it"
"we all have our own on-going challenges that are not going to beat or define us"
"we are all a valuable part of this amazing little community"
"we are all here for each other"

*runs back into fort and worries she came on a bit strong*

  • Hahahaha! Ok, that made me laugh, code!

What tea said! Let's all try to be nice to ourselves! I shall take that advice as well, I haven't slept at all and tossed and turned all night in a state of panic before giving up. I think now WaSp has been ok for a while that I am allowing myself to feel what I squashed down. Without sounding miserable when I coped so well at the time with no psychosis at all I thought I am really going to pay for this when the adrenaline drops, subsequent horrid world events haven't helped.. I am having a lot of intrusive thoughts about people and animals dying and totally irrational guilt that I have caused or will cause just about every death that I can think of. It will pass.

WaSp had his doctor appointment today for more medication and his foot is healing well but isn't quite healed yet. So they have changed the compression bandage and said give it another week and he should be fine. He doesn't have to go back, just remove the bandage for good in 7 days. They have given him an extra bandage just in case he knocks it and it opens again, if he does he has to immediately put his foot above his waist level, press a towel on it hard and then apply the bandage tightly as soon as it stops bleeding. His blood pressure is now 170 which is in the right direction, they will check again in 2 weeks when it should have dropped further. WaSp isn't happy at the prospect of another week with his foot up! It is all good news though.

I think I'm finally going to order a Lindy Bop dress... eeep! You think this one is OK? Not too OTT? Thinking of wearing it for my Christmas party.

    One is okay, birdie.

I won't say that two would cover Xmas and the New Year.
