I did it. I jumped. I bought a phone. Now I'm panicking that I bought the wrong phone and I'll hate it.

Tea, I wanted Will to win Pop Idol. I wasn't falling for Gareth Gates' sob story. I used to watch Pop Idol and Fame Academy and I watched X factor the first couple of series then got irritated by the sob stories and the overt manipulation of it all. It was always clear who they wanted to win from the start.

I had good friend who had a huge crush on Will Young, I was also very good friends with his mum and dad and I used to visit on a Saturday before going to the pub and we would all watch the X Factor together. His parents had no idea that he was gay (they know now) so whenever Will appeared on the screen, we would be quietly poking each other and trying not to giggle. At times he would have to leave the room because he just couldn't cope and I would sit there trying not to burst out laughing. Have a lovely time Tea!

Big hugs Faerie, I echo everything Whitewing said. Stay in the fort with us where we can look after you.

Woohoo for Escapette having a long sleep, Welly!

I sleep for up to 10 hours solid if I am left to do so but it is caused by the medication, I take a big dose of anti-psychotics before bed. I have very vivid dreams, though that I always remember. I also do everything, sleep talk, sleepwalk, have night terrors, sit up screaming and crying. It used to wake me up hence the big dose of pills but now I rarely know it is happening, poor WaSp suffers it instead.

We are ok otherwise! WaSp is bored, no surprise there but he feels fine other than the odd headache.

Where's your friend now, WaS? Could you meet him for a coffee some time?

He lives in Hungary now sadly. He met a lovely partner from there and moved to be with him and they have been very happy together for 7 years. We do occasionally speak over Facebook and he says when he comes back here that we will have to meet up which I would be very willing to do. We had some fun times together and he is such a lovely person. I miss his mum too, we also used to go out together and had a separate friendship. In fact, I was friends with his whole family and used to meet a lot of cousins and his aunt for days out, they kind of adopted me!

Faerie {big squish} thinking of you.

As an insomniac, I can honestly say that the simple answer is you don't really function "normally". You learn to get by on what little sleep you can and adapt your life around it. I get anything from none to 4 hrs sleep a night and often go weeks on half hours here and there as that is all I can get. It's been that way all my life and you just adapt to it. The difference is only visible after you get a good nights sleep for some reason. On the odd occasion that I get a 7 hour sleep I feel utterly amazing the next day and everyone around me notices the change in mood and vibrancy etc. To be honest I hate it when that happens as it reminds me what I am missing out on and how much easier life would be if I could sleep. I also think my lack of sleep is a large contributor to why I always get poorly and catch whatever is going. I suppose the body does adapt. But I can tell you that if a genie popped out of a bottle, fame, riches and world peace would be out the window - I would wish for 8 hours sleep at least twice a week - I think that would change my life!
  • Am thinking of you faerie x x Glad your friend apologised to you :)

Yes, you get days like that sometimes melly. Hope tomorrow has some good moments.

Hello, faerie, hope your friend and you are having a good time together.

Hello Kitty. (Bet you haven't heard that before).

WaS, you must be the most adopted person on the planet.
