Dragonette - put a message on the collar for wherever he's visiting, letting them know you exist and consider yourself his primary staff.

And hello everyone else and all the furries (pets, not people into that particular fetish, although if we do have any furries, hello) and all others.

Hello my lovelies, I hope everyone is well. I’ll be having a proper catch up on thethread later to see how everyone’s getting on.
Brief recap, in case anyone is in the slightest bit interested!
· Work – new job is fine. Still getting my head around the longer hours, and the longer travel, but overall ok.
· FOH – things dragged on for aaaaages after he moved out so I made a break a few weeks ago. Haven’t seen him at all for nearly a month now, still get a few texts each week asking me to meet but have politely declined them all. His new house (he’s currently in rented, but moving soon) is ready in a few weeks so we’ll have to meet then to sort out thehuge amount of stuff he still has at my house. Am hoping that having had the break will make that easier – we will see!
· Life in general – ok. I’ll always be a solitary person at heart but am making the effort with book group (via meetup), brownies, etc.
Right, off to a meeting, catch up later xxx.0 -
Hello tea!
So far today I've taken Escapette to a baby group, taken her and Little Sod a walk with her in her new sling and am now trying to get her to sleep to get some housework done.
Feeling really good recently, enjoying it as it makes a change from how rotten I felt not long ago.0 -
Tea! That has made my day! Welcome back, we have missed you! Well done for everything you have achieved too, you are doing so well! *Gollumps you* (Not sure what that is, but it sounded appropriate. Imagine a very excited puppy jumping all over you).
SDW! Lovely to see you! I know you will offer every support you can to your son, although I am sorry that he needs it. Please ask anything you wish if you think we can help in any way, I will be keeping you all in my thoughts.
Don't give up code, home time soon!
Aw, Welly. Of course you will feel sad when you leave Escapette with MIL but you know she will be safe and as you say it is better financially. You may actually come to enjoy a bit of time having adult conversation, but that will take a while. Big hugs.
Dragonette, I used to share a cat! I was the primary carer initially but I was out at work so she used to take herself off to my neighbour until I got home. It actually worked well for us and I got to know him quite well, he was a lovely elderly man who lived alone and didn't feel he could get a pet because he thought it cruel incase he died. We reached a point where if my shift ended during the day I would knock on his door and pop in for a cup of tea to reclaim the kitty, which meant he got more company than he would otherwise. He loved gardening, so would deal with the bushes and border on my drive for me (without me asking), he used to shape the bushes and plant wildflower seeds for me. Once I came home to a beautiful hanging basket of flowers he had put up outside my door. Pop a note under kitties collar, you could make a friend.
Big hugs Melly, crossing everything that it went well today.
I am going to attempt crocheting later for the first time in my life. It looks hard! My knitting is a disaster but I figured it was worth an attempt, if I can manage a small square I shall celebrate...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
