"Glad you had a lovely holiday georgie , i'd love to go to Vegas but then i havent already been 6 times so it would be new for me i can imagine it might get a bit samey after a few visits"

I always think that you'll never recreate that first time, it really is amazing and you're in awe at everything. It's still amazing, but less so as the novelty wears off. Although I guess that could be the same for a lot of places?

I'd love to go with someone who had never been before just to see their reaction! (Team WaS visit anyone?!! :p ) That's why I wanted MIL to come with us....although with hindsight, WHAT ON EARTH WERE WE THINKING?! We were knackered with all the walking. Even walking round the hotels is tiring after a while, she would never have managed it, it would have been too much for her.

Will try and read back and catch up tomorrow :)
Well if you're offering to take me to Vegas....... :p plus all the walking would be good for me! (Not good for my bank account though :p imagine it would take a battering.....when i went to the seaside this year i spent a considerable amount on the bingo machines in the arcade  )

    Morning my Lovelies,

going to get up and go for a walk before work in a min. Been awake since about 5ish. Not sure what is causing it the cold, or the anxiety. I must admit I feel a failure that I can't cope with work or relationships with out it causing me anxiety, pain as well as messing with my sleep and making me want to binge eat. husband still has my cards and I only have £1 ish cash in the house. Loads of food so no issue.

Melly have a good as day as possible.

Hugs, squishes and handshakes to all that need them. Need to get my bum in gear now and go for that walk.

Might catch you later not sure. Going around husbands tonight but not sure if I will go straight after the dr's at 4pm or go home 1st.

I am so mixed up in the days and I did not get a reminder text last night about the dr's. It is the 4th today?

    Maybe catch you all later.

    Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Yours

    Calley

WaS, I think the relationship you have with Millefleur a a beautiful one, and one that many people would be envious of. She sounds likes fun!

I get on really well with my MIL, she's really nice and friendly and a laugh, but I have never been out anywhere with her on my own (apart from Bingo just the once) and wouldn't phone her up for a crack or be able to talk to her for advice. I feel comfortable in her presence, but sometimes, not all the time, I don't feel totally relaxed, as I do feel she judges, not just me, but the other DIL's too. She's most definitely on her sons side first and foremost, which I guess is to be expected (they are Mummies boys a little bit!), I don't think she would ever stick up for me or other DIL's before her boys, even if they were the ones in the wrong.

D asked if I'd go on holiday with her once (as she'd fell out with her travelling companion) and I just couldn't. I went on holiday with a friend once, and that was bad enough! I think you see a different side to people when you're on holiday, plus we're totally different generations, and what she'd be interested in I wouldn't and vice versa. Sometimes though that doesn't matter and if you are close enough then you find a common ground I guess....I'm not sure that would happen with me and my MIL? Although she is quite young at heart and watches stuff like Big Brother, which I was surprised about!

Sounds like you've got a gem there WaS, and a lovely perfect relationship. :)

Just one question, and tell me to get lost if I'm being too nosy, I don't mean to be. I was just wondering what you meant by you couldn't afford for you to go to her party as well as WaSp. Surely if you're travelling up in the car and sharing a hotel room, then the cost would be the same regardless if one person or two went?
