thank you for opening the fort door for me .. I love rabbits, anything fluffy with a cute nose and 4 paws :) I just got back from the appt.. nurse said I will need major pelvic floor reconstruction surgery but I need to have the bowel surgery I'm waiting for first and I need to lose 3 stone before they will operate on the pelvic floor.. she didn't dare examine me because of the dissociation/flashbacks/ poor mental health..
she is sending me to a dietitian and a pelvic floor physiotherapist, and she is going to write to the MH team explaining the impact on incontinence and that I need help for my eating disorder.. It won't do any good or get me any help from that terrible team, but the report might help both my complaints to the MH team and the hospital to show how seriously I need support and I need my surgery so I can get on the list for the pelvic floor one. I;'ve got 2 assessments today for potential low cost therapy, I don't imagine they will take me on with a trainee die to complexity, but I'm going to see what they say..I've got a lot of appnts this week.. I've got a finantial assessment for social services as I'm begging them not to take all my DLA away.. it's on fri and I'm really wirrying about it.. I am going to try and barter with them to leave me the DLA so I can pay for a therapist,.. DLA should be for my physical and mental health costs but I doubt social services will see it that way ...
I will be back to cuddle the rabbit later today :)
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)

Well done Faerie! You have done so much today already! Try not to worry about DLA, although I know just how you feel because I worry about mine, too. I do think if you explain to social services why you need it that they will support you, my social worker knows that I use mine to maintain an ancient car, my huge heating bills and for my carers fee's which are three things that I have to have. She has always agreed that I need it. Crossing everything for you for the therapy assessments later today.

HBS, they are gorgeous! You really are so talented, can't wait to see the tote bags! (No rush but hint, hint)

Calley! All things fluffy update please! Did your living room survive the night?

All ok here other than my illness flare continuing. It is pretty mild, just a background headache, slight nausea and on and off fever but I wish my body would hurry up and deal with it. In other news it's WaSp's birthday next week, he is getting a Groot bobblehead that was linked to on the thread earlier. I am possibly buying it for me...

Do you do the playing card necklaces with ordinary 'playing cards', as opposed to Alice in Wonderland ones?

Talking of playing cards, saw this on another thread and thought it was funny! .......

Yes it did but he was in his cage all night.

Sadly binging again. I need to talk to the Dr about this. As not good and I need to get a grip on it. like my whole life really get a grip on it. But failing at the moment.

  • Thank you, HBS! Honestly, don't rush. I just get excited about these things, you may ignore me!

Hahahaha! I am going to email that to WaSp, Pyxis! Are you feeling any better today?

That is a good idea about talking to your doctor, Calley. There will be a reason for it and if you can find out what that is, it may be easier and better to tackle than dealing with the binging directly. I used to and sometimes still do, binge when things feel out of control, for me my ED is all about regaining control when I feel helpless with a big dollop of self-hatred thrown on top. So I know to expect it at those times and can attempt to find other coping strategies to use instead. Have a chat with your doctor and see what they suggest.

    Now go cuddle something fluffy!

Yes, thanks WaS, am feeling better, though not 100%. Still coughing a bit and catarrhy, but not infectious. Am staying in today as have an important rehearsal tomorrow.

I could do if you wanted them - I actually made the cards to put on the Alice necklace so I'm sure I can do it with normal ones!
