Ewww WaS!!! It stinks! Her little face screws up when I give it her but it does produce some spectacular burps so I guess it is doing its job!

My first venture out on our own for the coffee, can't believe how nervous I am!
  • It will be fine, Welly! After this time you will start to feel more comfortable venturing out, too.

Gripe water is wonderful! I used to drink it straight from the bottle when I could get away with it!

I don't like gripe water, DS wasn't mad either. He loved Infacol though, it tastes of orange! He would get excited when he saw the bottle as he knew he'd get a lovely slurp of something nice then his milk! :)

If Escapee just wants to be cuddled, try putting her in a carrier so you can just get on with stuff. :) I still get it wrong with DS, sometimes he'll be kicking off and I just can't figure out what the issue is for ages then will do something that fixes it and I feel terrible that it took me so long to figure out the simple solution! :o

I'm in a right funk today, and it's very silly. I've been humming and hawing for ages about whether I deserve a ticket for tomorrow's rugby match, and now all the affordable ones are gone :( so I'm having a right sulk!

    WaS,

What is it exactly about phones that is the issue for you?

I am just wondering if some of the services that deaf people use that translate text would help. (I don't know exactly what deaf people use but I have the feeling there is some sort of human intermediary)

Oh goodness, not quite sure what happened this morning!

Got ready to go for my coffee, went to get the pushchair out the front door and couldnt find my key.

Hubby had gone off to work and locked the door.

Took me a while of hunting round to realise I had hidden my key outside so that people could let themselves in to sort out Little Sod when we had ended up at hospital with Escapette last weekend.

Ended up with me climbing out the living room window (muttering some choice words as its not an advisable activity so soon post c-section) just as the postman turns up. I just ended up mumbling a bit and looking shifty whilst trying to retrieve my key without looking too obvious.

And to top it off I met up with my colleague but there were no seats free so didnt even get a coffee!!
  • Baby brain, Welly? :)

    Hope you're OK!

Well done, Welly! You really are doing so well! It is still very early days, there will be little hiccups (sometimes literally) but you really are coping very well. Have a lovely coffee!

I remember Gripe Water! I used to fake being unwell as a child so that I could have some, I loved it!

Does gripe water still contain alcohol? :D:D:D

No wonder you loved it, WaS! :rotfl:
Swigging it from the bottle? Better hide the meths, then! :rotfl:

    Onomatopoeia, um, what's IPv6 support? :o

The weather for the weekend looks good, so have a super time! E di sicuro, parlerai molto italiano, vero?

It looks dry for Monday, too, so at least you won't be standing around in the rain.

When DS was a toddler, I lived in a rented attic flat of a Victorian townhouse, set back slightly from the road.

I managed to lock myself and DS/pushchair in between the front door and the internal hall door - a tiny space.

I had to stick my hand out of the letterbox. Eventually the postman arrived, and then the Estate Agent was called out. He asked if I lived alone, and then said, "How do you get through life?!"

I actually have a worse example of locking myself out and DD in for another time!
