Don't worry about it faerielight, you can come and post here any time.

Come back when you think you're ready.

If you think it might be stress-y or upsetting then

PENGUIN colour it white END PENGUIN.

Then it's up to the reader to highlight the white text to read it ;)
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Yes, Faerie, what she ^^^^^ said.

Anyone who is really upset or really in trouble can post here.

We all have our demons. Some people have demons that are very different from those of others. Hopefully, on this thread we can help each other to identify those demons, and see what help might be available for them.
Acknowledging those problems is the hardest part. Once that's done, there's so much help available, on here or out there, or both.

One thing I've learned from this thread is that whatever form one's problems take, they make us unhappy, so they are all valid. It's all about being honest, (within the confines of privacy, obviously), and trust. I think we have proven over the last year that this is a trustworthy thread, and that we care about each other, whatever our individual problems are.
WaS has shown that by being honest about her problems, she not only helps others tremendously, but allows us to help her and promotes regard and appreciation.

That's the way to do it! Go us! :) :A :T

Don't stay away Faerie, I think you need the support of the fort right now!

That's a great cabinet Calley, 99p is the greatest bargain buy ever! Love the collection. :) One day I'll have a hobby room and will be able to show off my Barbie collection :)

Don't feel guilty Code, if he wanted the work he'd do it, no questions asked, or if he had doubts he'd come up with a good alternative!

Gingernutty, I keep meaning to ask... is your hair OK now? Didn't you have some kind of hair dye incident?!

Calley, another thing you could do is use something to give the wood a jolly good clean, you know, to remove build-up of old polish and tobacco smoke etc. That would brighten the wood up, and reveal the grain pattern. I would think it's mahogany, too. At a pinch, it might be a softer wood stained to look like mahogany, but either way, a really good clean with a proprietary cleaner, or something, will do it the world of good!

I'm not sure what you'd use. Flybaby might know, or failing that, find the joinery 'expert' at B&Q and ask them.
    Or check online, of course!

Good job Escapette is so unbelievabley cute...
She has just fallen asleep after being up all night making noises like a velocirapter.
Going to need my own personal cheerleading squad to get me through the day on Thursday when hubby goes back to work. Dreading it!
Had to go and stand in the kitchen a bit last night to calm down. I do hate my temper.
Found a 'new parents' group I was planning on going to today, but will have to go next week instead. Far too tired this morning, and don't think Escapette is over her bug yet so wouldn't be fair on her or other babies.
Need to find more groups to go to, but can't get to a lot until I can drive again.

Is it worth looking in a few antique/vintage shops Calley to get some ideas?

You'll be fine Welly! In a way it's quite nice to have DH out of the way so you can get into a nice daytime routine with LO, and at least you know he'll be home 'soon' if things go pear shaped! Try to find lots of baby groups to go to once you're more mobile, they were a life saver for me and I met 2 very good friends at the Children's Centre-run 'Baby and Me' class. :) Hope Escapette has a better day/night and catches up on all that missed sleep!
