my tall chocolate uggs from Ugg Australia came on the 15th by DHL :) they came from Glasgow so no customs.

I took my receipt plus my damaged Ugg boots to Sainsburys and they reimbursed me the full £175 that the replacements cost.

I have bought some Kiwi protector and given these new ones 2 good coats, so hopefully it will protect them well
  • I want to buy some Uggs from the walking company (us) but wanted to know if anyone here has used them before.
They said they ship using UPS but i wanted to know if anyone has had to pay customs charges if they are shipped by them.
I called UPS but they were not very helpfull!
Any info would be much appreciated Thanks.

i'm gutted - my tall uggs from kiwi sheepskin have a hole in them! it runs along the line where the suede meets the sole near the heel and is an inch and a half long! i've emailed them to tell them of the fault (had boots for 3 weeks now) but haven't heard yet (it's early hours over there!). has anyone else had to return goods to kiwi and can tell me their experience? i wonder if i'll have to send them the boots first for them to look at before they send me a replacement pair. really hope not as i might be without boots for a couple of weeks or more! not happy at all!

    Hey! lotte
i just went through the same thing with paypal like you did, closed my account, then reopened it. now i can see my payment details and opened a dispute!so i just need to wait for the clams now. luckly i had your help through this all thing!so thanks alot! i appreciate that!
i am ready to get a real pair of ugg now from a real website now!i wanted it since the beg of this winnter, just been so bad luck from getting it!which website did you say u got it from>? can you tell me>again! appreciated!

Oh good im really pleased youve managed to sort it out, its so complicated but you can relax now you know its being disputed I am sure you will get your money back. I have now received a full refund on 16th Jan as the seller didnt reply to the claim so im sure you too will get a refund!

I ordered my boots from the official Ugg website www.uggaustralia.com you select which country website you want to go to, so I ordered from the United States one cos you can order even if they havnt got any in stock they will ship when they become available and you will end up saving about £20. Think they charged me £120 including delivery and then I had to pay UPS £35 for tax when they delivered them (cash). So works out cheaper than buying from UK.

Good luck! I have been wanting mine since winter began aswell! So glad I finally have some and with the reassurance that they are genuine!

Let me know how you get on!

  • Hi Lotte
I noticed in your last thread you said you had to pay UPS £35 cash when they delivered your Uggs. I have just purchased a pair from the walking co in the US, they should be here at the end of next week, but I was unsure of how the customs charges work they are also using UPS.
Do you have to pay the driver the cash when they deliver or do they send an invoice? What if you don't have cash on you when the delivery comes?
    Help i'm confused!!

christened my uggs yesterday - held off because of the rain but then took my kids out walking to a country park. i had to take the plunge - afterall they're meant to be for comfort ot saved for 'best'. they got a tiny bit dirty but i think they look even better now - not brand new like when you see people with glaring white trainers!

Just bought the Cardy Uggs in the Oatmeal from Sole Trader for £100.
I tried to order them in the USA, but they are all sold out until Mid March.
I didn't want to risk not getting them!
I am due to go to America over Easter, but I don't want to risk it.
    Just pleased I got some.
On ebay, all the listings are for £125 plus £18 delivery from the USA.
Get them now while you can, still a bit cold out there for them!
  • looks like they've sold out now too, grrr, lol! I really want some in black.

Have been following this thread on and off for some time. Was holding out for Hartings to get some Classic Tall in black but have decided I've waited enough. As I spent 2 1/2 years living in New Zealand in a house with wooden floor boards and no central heating I lived in ugg boots. Didn't bring a pair back over with me and have been really missing them. I used to buy mine from www.classicsheepskins.co.nz but the actual shop not the website, I used to get the Surfer boot, superb for wearing around the house and just popping out in the car to friends/supermarket/etc. You know you're getting real sheepskin as they have a tannery on site that you can tour round!

Wanted some tall black ones this time so have stuck with the Kiwi product and have just ordered:-

Tall Ultimate Sheepskin Boots: Full Calf black - £70.06
Loafer Clog Sheepskin Slippers - £34.13
Childrens Mid Calf Boot - £34.13

from www.kiwi-sheepskins.com. All the prices include air mail and insurance so I'm hoping I'm onto a winner. They also have a superb sizing guide whereby you measure your foot, pick the product, input your measurements and it tells you which size you need to order.

I should also point out that in the opinion of all Kiwis uggs were invented in New Zealand, not Australia! ;)
  • Hi
Like many others on here i've also been ripped off by ordering a pair of Ugg boots from this web site. I paid with paypal and have opened a dispute. (still pending)
Has anyone in the same situation received a refund from paypal?
I've looked on paypal FAQ, it says that if the seller has paypal protection then they will try to claim money back from the seller, but i'm assumiong as they're obviously dodgy they wont have protection/insurance.
Also, how come if many others have made claims against them, why do paypal continue to have an open account with the seller? Don't they have a responsibility to close down the account. I realise that its easy for the seller to open several paypal accounts but a assume they dont open bank accounts daily???????
