Ive just taken the dog to the beach and my uggs are filthy! how can I clean them? has anyone cleaned them in the washing machine?

DON'T PUT THEM IN THE WASHING MACHINE!
Sponge them with cold water. See if you can find a suede cleaner that dilutes with water. Rinse them and stuff with newspaper then leave to dry away from direct heat. Use a soft brush on them afterwards.0 -
hi, i seen these boots on The Walking Company website and thought they were gorgeous but they were sold out for ages and i couldn't find anywhere else that did them, i have now just ordered some tall canterburys in chestnut, what colour are the sweater ones, are they like the chestnut or lighter and are they actually wool, they are soooo nice, lucky you:D .
The price is brill, what was the postage and did you get customs?
I can see me ending up with half a dozen pairs in every style and colour, they're all so nice (although budget may be abit of a problem:rotfl: )

Hi Sweetcake,
They are sheepskin just like the tall chestnut ones but with a jumper type impression/print. They are a chocolate/chestnut colour. No postage charges as I had them delivered to my sisters in NYC and friend of mine went over for a long weekend and brought them back for me.:T :j0 -

Sorry, but I can't honestly believe someone would be daft enough to wear sheepskin boots on a wet beach in the middle of winter
Don't you own any wellies?

Ahhh right, I apologise for my comments then
But please, tell me where you are so I can come and escape this godforsaken rain we've had the last few days! More flooding on the cards tonight too“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
HI
I ordered a pair of short black uggs from UggAustralia website on 27 Dec 07 and received them on Friday 11 Jan 08, to be fair it did say that no further deliveries were being despatched until 7 Jan 08 due to the holidays. I used the UK version of their website and guess what? they were despatched from Port Glasgow, which is about 10 miles from where I live! so no tax to pay then, they cost £140 but I was happy to pay more and get the real deal after reading some of the horror stories on here xx0 -
has anyone dealt with this company currently selling uggs for $180 us,
taxes and import duty paid to. are they genuine site as i noticed a few spelling mistakes

Hey! thanks for reply to me! you have been very helpful!
so, are u saying you have paid with your debit card ? not through paypal account, but paypal still willing to help?if this is the case, i should give paypal a call too. i have been asking my bank to help at the moment, they say i have to wait for 31 day since the transaction before making a dispute.
pls let me know if you get your money back and good luck to u!
Hiya,
Thats ok im happy to help as I know how frustrating this wholes situation is!
Yeah I think my situation was exactly the same as yours cos I paid with my debit card but wasnt logged into paypal although I received an email receipt from paypal and I did already have a paypal account.
Its quite complicated but basically heres what to do:
1. If you have never had a paypal account ...
If you still have your email receipt go into it and in there is a box if your not already registered with them that says something like sign up to paypal now so if you click on that it will take you to their website to set up your account and then the transaction will appear in your history. To dispute it click on my account and then resolution centre, and then click report a problem. This will then guide you from there and you can dispute it, it will probably go straight to a claim as mine did because the seller is uncontactable by email, it then gives the seller 10 days in which to respond.
2. If you had a paypal account but didnt use it for this transaction ...
If you are registered with paypal but you didnt log in when you made the transaction, in your email receipt it will have a box saying our records indicate that you have a paypal account etc.
If this is the case when you log into paypal it probably wont appear in your transaction history. So what you need to do is close down your existing account, you do this by clicking on the my account tab and then profile, under account information the bottom option of the list says close account, select this option. BUT be sure that the transaction is definately not on your transaction history already otherwise you will loose this when you close the account !!
Once you have done this you need to go back to the paypal website and choose to open an account (sign up). You can do this from the home page. So all you are doing is registering your account again with exactly the same email address. Once you have signed up again you will be able to log in and see the transaction to uggfootwear direct. Then you just need to do as I stated before and click on the resolution centre tab under my account and then click report a problem, which will then bring up your transaction history for you to choose which one to dispute.
Hope this helps! Abit complicated as I said but it has worked for me. If you have anymore probs I would advise you to just ring the paypal customer services because they are very helpful and will be able to help you.
Good luck! My REAL Ugg boots have turned up today so I am so happy about that. Not sure what is happening reagrding my dispute with paypal as it still says awaiting sellers reposnse although today is the last day they can respond. Will keep you posted, let me know how you get on and if you have anymore questions just ask, I am happy to help as much as I can.
Regards

Hi if you'd rather buy a UK made boot try these: http://www.celtic-sheepskin.co.uk/index.asp
They're really good quality and in my opinion definately on a par with Deckers UGGS.
Growing up in Newquay, Cornwall, Ugg boots really aren't anything new to me (we wore them at school 20 years ago) so I know how long a pair should last & believe me the Celtic ones are really well made.
Plus there's the bonus that they are made in the UK and therefore won't have travelled nearly as many environmentally unfriendly miles as the Aussie version.
I buy a pair for my eldest every winter & I have kept most of them to hand down. She adores wearing them and say they keep her feet really warm and dry.
Well that's my Cornish flag waving over for today

Hi,
I'm new to this thread, but have been reading it for a week or so now with great interest.
I eventually took the plunge and bought a pair of deckers ugg australia boots from this shop www.minus10.co.uk
They came within 3 days of ordering and they're very nice people to deal with. :j
I did pay the going rate of £139.99 for the boots but wanted peace of mind that I was buying the real deal, as there are so many dodgy sites selling them even though they have no intention of sending them.
Well I've been at work for the past few days, and I was planning on wearing them for work but not in this rain!!
I'm praying for it to be dry tomorrow so I can eventually wear them.
I have sprayed them 3 times but I'm still wary to wear them in the rain just in case they get water marks on them.
OH well, fingers crossed for tomorrow.0
