i am looking at getting the tall classic womans, and shipping is estimated at $60

how much was your shipping, does £30 seem the right price?

Be aware people who have bought on REI since i recommended them have been charged customs.

I originally recommended them and didnt get customs on 2 kids pairs but since then others have been stung.

£30 is the postal charge for a purchase over $100

Personally i'd rather take the risk of customs and buy from one of the places where people are happy with their boots than lose money on a dodgy pair, there are a few places coming out ok REI, Hartings and cozyboots are definately ok.

    Hope this helps. ;)

    hi Mookie,

I've just been onto cozyboots and ordered DD1 a pair of kids tall in a US size 5 -so these are the same as a uk size 4, but niot a toddler size 4 - is that right?
also, were the boots you bought showing as in stock when you placed your order? As the ones I've ordered are labelled as 'coming soon'...?

    definately junior size 4 :D

Mine were showing as 'in stock' and despatched immediately, were delivered in 4 working days from despatch.

If you are in no rush they are definately worth waiting for.

That's great Mookie, I'm really really pleased for you!:T

I just went to TK MAXX today to return a coat and (in a bit of a "I just finished night shift" blur  ) I bought a tall black pair of Emu's ... to replace my naff AD ones  they were £30 and much nicer quality! Still not heard anything from James, and I found as someone already said, the emails to him bounce right back! I'm tempted to send my email from Ugg saying the Aussie Direct ones look pants to my credit card company and try a refund from them - and then send the naff rubbish pants NOT ugg boots from AD to Ugg customer service, with details of where I bought them! Stick that up yer trumper James! :rotfl: :D :rotfl:
PS Mookie - if I'm a US 7 in my tall choc Uggs, would I get a US 6 kids? Thanks doll! :T

The "Buyer Protection" icon below a merchant's name indicates that purchases made through Yahoo! Shopping at that merchant's site are protected from some types of fraud by the Yahoo! Buyer Protection Program.
All Yahoo! Store merchants and Yahoo! Shopping advertising partners are eligible to participate in this program. These merchants must earn and maintain a minimum 3-star average merchant rating. Purchases made from merchants which display the Buyer Protection icon at the time of purchase are covered by the program regardless of the merchant's status at the time a potential claim is filed. Important limitations apply.
In the unlikely event of fraud, the Yahoo! Buyer Protection Program provides an additional measure of safety.
    Fraud is defined as:
    • Paying for an item that is not received or
    • Receiving an item that is materially different than what is described.
As Aussie Direct operates under this scheme then those who have bought from them may be able to take this up with Yahoo Shopping. Worth a go at any rate.

I have just received my tall classic uggs in chestnut from Hartings.nz and they are perfect!!!!!

I have never seen a pair of emus in the flesh. I have read good stuff about them though. I'd of bought them too for £30!!!

    Yep a US6 kids is a uk5. :D

Be careful if you send them to UGG australia and they are fakes you wont get anything back from them they will be destroyed, you will probably get a letter confirming they are fake, if they are genuine but of poor standards i've been advised they exchange them but not sure if thats true as it was info from an ebay member.

Maybe you could try and claim from the yahoo thing mentioned by caroline, if you need proof they are fake to get a refund then consider sending them off.

Tip top, thanks! :T I'll give my visa card helpline a call first I wonder if that might be simpler - the Yahoo thing might rely on some kind of co-operation or response from AD - which hasnt been forthcoming so far!
Really pleased your Hartings ones have come up trumps - that's where I got my tall chocs from and they are so gorgeous I could eat them with a spoon. But then I'd have cold toes, so best not! :rotfl: :T :rotfl:

:hello:Thanks Mookie! :T I'm on the horns of a dilemma! I have your recommendation for more Uggs (and the size - thanks!) - but also a pair of emu's for 30 quid!
I'm sure you're right about them being destroyed - I'd only do it once I have the refund through from Visa, then it wouldnt matter. Maybe they'll want them though? I'll have to see what they say - do you reckon that email I had from Ugg Australia wd be enough to send off to "prove" to Visa they were hookey?
PS: this is me with my Choc Uggs from Hartings ... :kisses3: I think I have a problem! :rotfl:

Not happy at the moment...I can't get hold of a gold pair of uggs in the states anywhere in a size 7..taylors shoes said they were getting them in december but i noticed they have them now...just emailed them and they only have size 9's available..gutted..my cousins off to the states next week so was getting them shipped to where she was staying...can't find any at all..tried everywhere..ebay want twice as much
  • I've been at this Sourcing-UGGs-from-the-internet mullarky for a while and have bought from AD (not great); Uggaustralia's official site and Hartings and I have to say HARTINGS ARE THE BEST BY FAR!!!
THEY ARE GENIUNE PRODUCT AND I WAS NOT CHARGED ANY DUTY OR TAX ON DELIVERY.
THE PRICE THEY QUOTE ON THEIR SITE IS THE PRICE YOU PAY:D ....

I've compared them to the UGGAustralia product I bought from the official site and they are the same.

I am sure this has been asked many times before ... and I am sorry to ask it again :o but I read 50 or so pages of this a while back and ended up as confused as ever. It's now 88 pages long and I'd rather not read all of it again.

    So to my question(s) ...

I need Size 5 (UK) Classic Tall in Chestnut/Sand for my daughter for Christmas.
Is there a shortlist of places (preferably 1 :) ) where I should order Uggs from to ensure they are genuine and preferably as cheap as possible.

I have seen many mentions of:
AD: To be avoided it seems
REI: Randomly charged for import duties?
Hartings: Seem to be the best bet

Your help is greatly appreciated
  • Hi Caroline

I ordered from Hartings and you shouldn't be stung... they send as gift and at 40 Aus dollars (c.£16worth)..
I love mine - hope you do too!quote=caroline234;6723030]Hi,

I've just looked at their website. It states that international shipping varies between $20 and $38 (suggests would probably run to $38) and extra for insurance. It also states that you will be liable for duties and they WILL NOT mark as gift so I guess you need to add another £30 or so on.

I have ordered from Hartings and am awaiting my delivery (tomorow according to tracking). I don't know yet if I have been stung for duty. I bought some last year from America and was charged the duty.

    Hope this helps.[/quote]
