  • Hi

I too have got some black UGG boots from Australia Direct and really not happy with quality.

Has anyone got an email address or return post address for them as they don't seem to be very easy to contact!

Thanks a lot - really upset about this and could do without the hassle.
  • Got my replacement boots today - the chocolate ones. They are great, just a shame my first chestnut pair weren't and I have lost out by a tenner by having to return them.
  • It took quite a while and a few emails and PMs to get it.

    Our return address is

    Australiadirect
    Shop 6- 287 Ballarat rd
    Footscray
    Victoria
    Australia 3011

    Thanks

    James

I hope you have better luck than me. I just want a decent pair of boots. I can get fakes if I want them but these were sold as genuine. Why does the quality of australian made ones vary so much from china made ones - you would have thought it would be the other way round! :rotfl:
I have genuine ones too and I could tell the differne as soon as they came out of the box.

Here you go - knew I posted it somewhere. :D
  • Have you tried http://sheepskinshoes.com/ecom/ProductDetail.php?id=12079&category=1088 - not sure if you are after long or short?

yes they do $38 for postage and clearly state they won't mark it as a gift so we may get custom charges..
  • A couple of weeks ago I ordered uGgs from Australia Direct for my Daughter after reading Martin’s summary.

I heard nothing, so, having waded through all 90 pages of the thread, promptly cancelled AD and have gone to Hartings instead.

One good thing is that yours truly has ended up with some nice warm slippers from Kiwi-sheepskins, delivered in one week.

Deckers say: “Genuine UGG® goods should not be available to consumers outside of Australia from locations within Australia.” See:
    http://cgi3.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=ugg_holdings
So to protect inflated pricing, they prohibit authorised stockists from exporting. It is thus not surprising that they are reluctant to authenticate such goods from an unauthorised source.

Overall, it all seems an awful lot of effort for over priced goods that could be poor quality fakes. I’d prefer to go to Celtic Sheepskin. Kiwi-Sheepskin, Canterbury etc, but her Mummy says she must have the correct label for Christmas.

Thank you everybody for all the information.

I'm glad you're happy with the boots and that you went for a reputable supplier! I take your point about the authentication thing but I must admit though I think there's quite a big difference between Ugg Australia being a bit tight lipped about saying "yeah, you got a great pair of our boots at £60 below UK retail" and "the boots you bought as Ugg Austalia boots are in fact NOT made by us" - which is what they said to me about my AD boots!

Again, anyone who is shopping around still - I'm not the only one who didn't get a genuine pair of Uggs from AD - yes, James, I know you say they are (but strangely enough you still haven't answered ANY of the questions I asked about why I should believe you!) - but Ugg Australia tell me they aren't. It's a no brainer, mate.

I have no doubt your boots are fake as you were told. I have been looking up AD and this isnt the only forum that says they have fake boots, i have also seen their feedback system on yahoo, also people are saying they got fakes.

Too much of a coincidence dont you think!

My poor friend was expecting her Ugg boots and Fedex mixed her parcel somehow, she got a big mosaic plate with a turkey on it! And the boots are lost!! Its in the process of claiming with Fedex.

I tried on the tall boots today in sole trader...£200! SHOCKING price, the short ones were £150!, but i loved the talls, do you think i need a pair to go with my short ones. ;) :rotfl:
  • Been reading the forum and just thought I’d mention this site – www.grommies.co.uk they are a UK kids surf wear company selling genuine 100% Australian sheepskin boots for kids (with styles for babies, toddlers and kids). I got a pair for my daughter, and they are very much the real deal. At under £40 including postage I reckon they are a bargain. Now I can’t get her to wear anything else on her feet – she would wear them to bed if she could!

A mosaic plate! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That's a real shame for your friend but it is very funny! And do you need a pair of talls? Oh my dear, yes of COURSE you do! As if you needed to ask! :rotfl: :j :rotfl: I have my tall chocs on now - they are absolutely lush! I even managed to tuck my jeans in today without folding the top of the boots over so they've stretched a bit and now fit even better! Yay! :j I tried them on in shoon for £170  before I ordered them from Hartings - I said I thought they were a bit tight so no thanks - I did feel a bit guilty - but I did save 60 quid! £200 though - that's really taking the pee! Are people buying them at that price :rotfl:  :rotfl:
