I ordered some sale ones from objectiv but they sold out. I am a kids size and reluctant to pay a lot of money to have them shipped and e the wrong size - the kids are sold out everywhere. That is until i found cozyboots - thanks Mookie. loads of stock in the kids sizes, ordered them 3pm and by 6pm I had the confirmation that my order was 'picked and about to be sdispatched'. So I should have them by Friday. in time for my daughters birthday party, how sad is that, it HER birthday and I bought them for me, LOL!!

Thanks again Mookie, oh the descisions, black or chocolate (hubby and kids decided black), long or tall (tall sold out) SOLD!! Too late now they are on their way. They had better fit me now!!

I've had a diabolical day but the thought of the boots coming is making me feel a little more :)

Hi, I'm sure you have checked already but do Amazon have any? Zappos? Nordstrom? Not sure where your cousin will be/shopping but have you tried calling ahead to the big dept stores like Macy's, Bloomingdales, Bergdorfs, Saks, Neiman Marcus etc etc to see if they will lay some by for your cousin to pick up? They're stuffed with TK Maxx (is it TJ in the states?) type stores so you might be lucky if there's time for him/her to trawl the shops! Other than that can you get them via duty free? Good luck! :hello:
I have checked everywhere....My cousin said she wasn't doing any shopping...What a wasted trip in my opinion..so that's why i am trying to get them shipped to her while she's out there...she isn't into shopping and probably doesn't know what ugg boots are..haven't checked bergdorfs or saks yet though..one company said they will get them in on the 20th of nov and she comes back the 25th so it's very close on that but may have to risk it....nightmare over a pair of boots LOL:j
Just got an email from the company who said they will get them in on the 20th..they said even though they will be shipped to an american address it needs to be an american credit card...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I found these today - not cheap but they are gold and I know how people want them so thought I would mention them:

They are the ones I am trying to get in the US as they are half the price...I am not paying £170 for them.....most of the uk have them but they are a huge sell out in the states...

Have you tried US Ebay? Shipping usually costs around $30 for a pair of boots in their box and I am sure I have seen them for around $200 buy it now.

  • I emailed Martin yesterday to advise that many have been upset with their purchases from Aussie Direct. I don't know whether this has happened as a result of my email but the original message on page 1 has now been updated. Take a look.

I think he's had a fair few emails! Thanks for pointing out the addition to his original message; I must admit I mailed him again and said he could have worded it a bit more strongly - Ugg Australia haven't questioned the QUALITY of my AD boots - they're saying they're NOT GENUINE!!
I also said that since loads of us had never heard of the flippin company before his email, and I'm not the only one who's got a bill for £104 and a pair of dodgy boots, then he could really do a bit more. I sent him the email I'd had from Ugg Australia saying what they thought of my Aussie Direct "Uggs". I'd sent them photos which they weren't obviously too impressed with!

"I do know that we’ve had other reports of fake Uggs being sold from that site, but apparently some of them are authentic. That might be the only reason they’re still in business. From the description you gave me they definitely don’t sound like something we manufactured"

... so let's see if he beefs it up a bit!

AD by the way are still saying "they're genuine" but refuse to explain to me how they can be so sure, why the packaging, labels, fit, quality, stitching and smell are wrong and why I should believe them when the manufacturer says they're not. Ugg Australia eh, what do they know about their own kit.

  • Actually, I've just looked again at Martin's first message and I feel really dumb. Maybe the warning signs were there from the off! There were clearly questions about AD from the start otherwise why would Martin have even thought to confirm authenticity!

    Martin said:
"To confirm the authenticity I contacted the Deckers press office and they've confirmed that AussieDirect sell genuine boots, though by the sound of it they're not best pleased, "Aussie Direct is not one of our retailers, but they do sell UGG Australia boots. The common frustration from people who order from Aussie Direct is that they also sell non-authentic shoes and customers often times cannot tell the difference."

What they said to me was that AD do sell SOME genuine boots ... and maybe that's the only reason they're still in business. They went on to say mine (I described the smell and the fit and sent pics of the labels and the packaging) DIDNT look like their boots and said on the phone they were fakes, the "they also sell non-authentic shoes and customers often times cannot tell the difference" ... is ringing LOUDLY in my ears now!
Deckers aren't saying everything that AD says is a genuine Ugg Australia boot IS really a genuine Ugg Australia boot are they! God, I feel so dumb!

I had to read that last bit a few times  :rotfl:

What i think they are saying is they sell genuine UGG boots made in Australia, not genuine uGg Australia boots! But people dont always know the difference, which we know because thats the whole point of this thread.

Ha! Sorry, it's me getting all un-eloquent when I get mad! :rotfl: I guess so but it is a bit ambiguous and also Ugg did say to me my boots from AD were fakes and did go further with the SOME boots are genuine which might be why they're still in business.
But I still reckon that Deckers saying to Martin weeks ago that they do sell some genuine uGgs doesn't mean every single pair they send out is - um, shall we just say, worthy of the uGg label! :D
