Ugg Boots from £62 delivered

Sweetcake, after a detailed foot measuring season, I would recommend you definately get the size 7 in the canterburys. They aren't that much different to the size 6 uggs. My Mum is a smallish 7 normally and they just fit. I only have little toes and my feet are shorter than yours.
After all, if they aren't a perfect fit I think they'd look better with loo paper shoved down the end of size 7s rather than having to cut out toe flaps in size 6s.0 -
how do i check that my tall chocolate classics from AD are definitely genuine?
Hi, I think people seem to be happy with the choc ones from AD - it's the other colours which have had the complaints!
The label: is it folded over and embroidered and does it say "made in china", is the footbed inside cream, is the tread right with the "r" in circles, is the sole thick-ish, do they smell odd (chemically) is the stitching okay ... etc etc. It's worth reading back some of the earlier posts to see what the signs to look out for are and also worth looking up the pictures on retailer sites to compare. Some have great "zoom in" functions! If you're worried, you could send pics of the labels, packaging, soles, etc etc to info@uggaustralia.com or take them in to your local stockist and see what they say. Good luck!:hello:Hello!0 -

when i received them i thought they were definitely genuine but just got a bit concerned due to the recent posts stating that uggs from AD were fake!
i don't have them with me right now so will check the soles later but i think i can answer the rest of the questions - yes the label is folded over embroidered material with made in china, the footbed is cream but the rest of the fur inside is thick chocolate brown, they smell like suede/leather, and the stitching seems fine
the quality of them is sooo much better than some emu boots i tried on recently, the fur inside is much thicker, better fit etc.0 -
I've just looked on the Hartings website and now wish I hadn't !
I am lovin the Ugg Wiltshire logo boot but they are out of stock at the moment
Does anyone know if you can backorder with Hartings ?
I'm also lovin the canterburys.
Also
Had an e-mail today from REI to say they have shipped my Uggs. Not sure if I am being a bit thick but I can't find a way of tracking my order as is says this service is not avaliable on international orders.
Having read the last few posts on here I am also worried that I'm gonna get stung by customs0 -

That sounds great pinkgem, honest. You'll have seen that it's the not choc ones which people are concerned about. Yours are made in China and smell and feel right so I'm sure you can breathe easy! I have some choc ones from Hartings and they smell lush - of soft leather :j and the quality of the suede, stitching, sole, lining etc - there's just no comparison. I also compared the black ones from AD to Uggs in my local shop (with their £170 price tags on! ) and they are definitely not the same!
AD say they are, Ugg say they're not. But it's AD I want my money back from so I'm stuffed really  they just won't budge. No postage refund.:hello:Hello!0 -
Its as we thought with them then, i dont know how they can carry on doing it  i read here some people have queried their boots and the order got cancelled so they know exactly what is going on.
I'm one of the ones who bought a pair of tall blacks from AD and voiced my fears that they might be fake very early on in the thread, but having looked at all the photos and comparisons made I tried to convince myself they were genuine, although I still had that niggly doubt and feel terrible that others may have bought boots from AD on my recommendation
Now, several weeks on and reading what others have had to say on the matter I am 100% certain my boots are fake
They just don't look and feel like the "real deal" especially now I've had the chance to go and look at some genuine UGG's sold in Office, plus the fact they have completely black wool lining and not the cream inner soles as others have mentioned. I've also had black dye stain my feet whilst wearing them, and they do in fact make my feet sweat, unlike the genuine sheepskin boots I bought from Kiwi-Sheepskins, which also suggests to me that they're not even lined with genuine sheepskin wool!
Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about it as I've worn them so they can't be returned, but I'm feeling pretty angry at being duped like this by what appeared to be a genuine company.
I notice James hasn't been back for some time to answer any of our queries either “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Yes I was just thinking that James is rather conspicuous by his absence! How strange ... :rotfl:I wonder if they're reading the thread still!
I'm sorry you have doubts too - I am very angry and fed up and I just hate being ripped off and taken for a mug
Have you spoken to trading standards? I agree there's not much they can do because their jurisdiction doesnt extend to Australia. But if you bought fake goods on your credit card, there is protection if the goods are £100 or over (section 75 of the consumer credit act 1974 I think).
Now I have that response from Ugg I am going to fill in the online complaint form with the state of Victoria's Consumer Affairs department, which deals with issues in Melbourne. They can't investigate if we don't complain! I feel ripped off - I just really want to try to stop other people feeling like they have been too!

When I bought my boots, they were selling them at $140 (notice they increased the price once they realised how popular they were on this thread  ) so even with the $35 shipping fee added they still came in at under £100 (about £87 if I recall) so I don't think I'd be able use the credit card protection.
I've had to accept that I'm stuck with them and have probably paid over the odds for an inferior product so will just have to chalk it up to experience, but like you, I'm angry that I've been ripped off like this and will do what I can to warn others from buying anything from AD in future, including the chocolate ones, even if they do appear to be genuine, as they certainly don't deserve our custom having ripped off so many buyers with the fake ones!
PS Just wanted to add that I almost bought several pairs from AD to sell on Ebay but having heard about the 5% discount they were giving out with your first order I just got the one pair to start with, and boy am I glad I didn't order any more now as I'd be feeling mortified if I thought I was selling on fake products to other unsuspecting buyers“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

:T I totally agree! I just hope people are reading the the thread and thinking (now AD have put their prices up) that for the sake of a fiver or so, Hartings or others might be a better bet.
I know it's not much consolation but at least you bought yours all up for £80-odd, before AD put their prices! Obviously it's totally up to you, but I would at least consider reporting the complaint to the department over there in Melbourne, the more they have, the more they're likely to investigate! It's not legal to sell dodgy gear, so I just wonder what (if anything) Ugg are going to do about it? It can't be doing their reputation any good!
I will be filling in the online form - I am very angry and feeling totally had over. What kind of company after the MANUFACTURER has said the boots aren't right, turns round and just says they are (with NO evidence or explanation to back it up!) and we're not refunding your postage
I am voting with my feetand let's just say I won't be back to AD to use my 5% discount voucher on my next purchase, thanks very much! They can keep their flippin rubbish stinky boots!

re your PS - phew! And good for you! I could sell my dodgy ones on ebay - I havent worn them and I have the packaging - but there's NO WAY I could do the same to someone else even if I just had doubts. Now I have that email from Ugg there's absolutely no way I could even think about it :hello:Hello!0
