can you clarify what charges you have paid for from rei, as there is no vat on kids footwear and the customs shouldn't be that much.

i'm just going to buy a clarks waterproof spray or similar, will try and remember to get a clear one.

last time i waterproofed some boots i'd accidentally picked up a black waterproofing spray and sprayed it on some sand coloured boots

fortunately they weren't £100+ uggs, just some cheap faith boots

Yes, I use the Clark's protector spray which costs £3.50. It's really good, I went out in the rain on Sunday and the rain drops just rolled off my boots ;)
There were no stains or anything. :j

The only trouble is when you spray, make sure you open the window as I nearly passed out with the fumes!!!!

Made my dog sneeze :rotfl:

I think i'm the only person that didnt get customs on the boots from REI  with the 15% discount they came out at £55 for the kids ones. Its a shame cos their boots are gorgeous but with customs they end up being a bit pricey, although at least they are genuine nobody has had problems in that sense.

I have ordered some more kids ones from cozyboots as REI were out of stock, i'll post once i've received them.

rei.com have got loads more in stock for anyone that wants some!!!
all sizes! well...they did about 5 mins ago anyway!;)
• Umm, cos it was an overseas transaction, I thought best to get it on my Hubby's credit card, and, he seems to have forgotten:j , think it worked out just under £90, but dont wish to jog his memory, if you know what i mean:rotfl: So i have only had to pay the duty so far, a pair of uggs for £28, cant be bad, woohoo!

Now that IS a bargain! Thanks!

I used a can of some clear (phew!) Kiwi weather protector spray that my ex had left under the sink. I used it outside after he nearly passed out with the fumes in the kitchen ... bless.

:D

It's quite fume-y so be careful in enclosed spaces! Yet to find out if it works - it was warm and dry last night when I went out dammit!

Do you get customs duty with cozyboots, Mookie? And I wondered if you've already ordered if you've worked out how the kids sizes work! I was a bit confused on one website or another (I think it was cozyboots) saying women should "order 2 sizes down" in the kids sizes ... I'd need a UK5/US7 ...

And thanks for the info re the email address for pictures :T I just called Ugg UK (AMG group) and asked at the switchboard to be put through to someone because I had probs with a suspect pair of Uggs - and then I just emailed the pics to that person direct. I'll send more to the info@uggaustralia.com - thanks for that! :T

It was £8 for VAT and customs duty and £13.50 for parcelforce's fee. If you look on the website for HMRC it says that VAT is payable on girls sizes over 3.5.
