... but there are other probs with my AD ones. The labels are well dodgy ... single ply and printed "Made in Australia" and not the folded over embroidered one I have in my Hartings ones and also that I saw in SHoon etc ... not sure how worried I should be but if SHoon say there's something not right with them then I must admit I'm not happy!
COuld you let me know who from Ugg gave your pictures the okay? :A
I emailed their info dept, so one of their customer service team you just get a reply from a team member, have you sent them pics of yours?
You know i have posted pics on here before...are you not supposed too? :embarasse0 -

I sent pics to Ugg (AMG - group UK which is on the contact section of the UK website) and they said from my description they sound wrong but I will hopefully get a call tomorrow from them.

If you are up for a bit of a scrap, firmly explain to them that what they are doing is illegal because they have not given you the opportunity to pay the duty yourself and have done it without your permission. It may take a bit of going through the different management ranks but usually works if you are determined enough.
Just been on the phone to Parcel force askign why I have to pay them £13.50 as it is ludicrous that I have to pay them money, which is notified nowere and if I don't pay it I can't get my boots! She said that it's not illegal as they've been doing it for years and that they have to pay the charge for you as you can't collect from customs!!! I am going to write but will have to pay the fee because if I don't pay soon they'll send them back. Evan though they give you twenty days I have just been informed they actually send it back within fourteen days!
Also I'll be on to customs with regards how they've charged customs and tax! VAT is 17.5% but it would appear they have just picked a figure out of their head and charged me.
Apparently it's luck of the draw whether you're charged tax and duty and obviously depneds what kind of mood customs are in. My boots are still cheaper than if I'd got them in the UK but way more than I was hoping to pay! £93 (chestnut uggs tall + shipping) + £37.04 = £130.04 - ridiculous. I'd go to Hartings next time instead of REI! At least they include shipping and tax and duty etc! Never mind...we live and learn!0 -

And more importantly - new boots! yay! :j
Umm, cos it was an overseas transaction, I thought best to get it on my Hubby's credit card, and, he seems to have forgotten:j , think it worked out just under £90, but dont wish to jog his memory, if you know what i mean:rotfl: So i have only had to pay the duty so far, a pair of uggs for £28, cant be bad, woohoo!Member of bad mothers club, not sure of the number!0 -
my tall chocolate uggs arrived from AD this morning! no customs charges (invoice stated value 20.00), so total cost £104 and i'm 100% certain that they are 100% genuine!
they are very soft and the fur inside is very thick, the stitching is perfect and even the made in china label inside is good quality.
i've only tried them on quickly but they feel so comfy, i didn't want to take them off but i had to because i've been helping my boyfriend wallpaper today and obviously didn't want to get wallpaper paste on them!0 -
Guess what I'm wearing
hee hee I am so happy its sad really
