Right, kids happily playing with the Happyland stuff I had boxed and put in the garage.
This afternoon we have:-
Had book reading session - DD2 fell asleep
DD1 and I put up door curtain in hall (she counted the hooks for me)
Make choc orange cake x 2 (1 going to Nannies tomorrow)
Pizza dough doing its thing in BM
Meat chopped up for pizza
Dishes done (including baking stuff)
HM yoghurt made - lets hope it works
Thats about it, oh yeah the sun came out about 1/2 hour ago so clothes on airer put outside. Hoping it will still be dry tomorrow so can get bedding washed.
Right off to ice cakes and grate cheese. Hope everyone has a restful weekend and that we all have some dry weather if not sunshine!0 -
shell - you've done so much this afternoon I am knackered just reading your list! Oh and have just read your morning list too - how on earth did you get through so many things in one day ?! GHood god I just read your middle of the day one, Was there no stopping you today woman or what?!
jjef - my DS starts school in a couple of weeks, he turned 4 in June and seems so tiny especially in his school jumper which drowns him! I'll be in tears too I reckon!
Jacksmummy - not surprised you are knackered! How can you go to work on the back of all that FKYing, I'd be a wreck!
tracy - glad the viewings are over, hope they are fruitful!
I felt not too bad today. hAd a mediocre nights sleep (makes a change from dreadul!!!) I didnt really do much in the way of flying, but I did manage to get the kids beds stripped and washed and have a tidy up of clutter in their rooms before we went out to the creche this morning. That will have to do. Havent hoovered all week so must run aroudn with it tomorrow. After creche we had packed lunch in cafe at gym, and then did a few errands :-
- took back winter coat I bought for DS as it was too small. Also bought him some extra school trousers, am worried he will go through a pair a day wetting himself
- went to B&Q to get paint for DS room, hubby supposed to be painting it tomorrow
- went to Morrisons as friend told me that had cheap bookshelves - got a little 3 shelf one for £7.99!!:T Its tiny but perfect for what I wanted
We got home about 3.30pm and the kids have been FAB since then, amusing themselves. I got the shelves built and in place (dont worry they are so tiny they hardly weight anything) but I used a normal screwdriver not a power one and now my arms and fingers feel dead wobbly! Moved some books from front room into new shelves in spare room, and freed up some cupboard space in spare room too. Shelves are in an alcove that was a mini dumping ground, it slovely and tidy now :T Then moved DVDs from hubbys study into front room (Where the books were moved from), this frees up loads of space in hubbys study so I am hoping to get him to organise it a bit. Its an absolute mess in there, I can never find anything and it drives me nuts.
Need to go and do quick tea for kids. They had a very healthy lunch today so they are having tinned spaghetti and sausage and toast for tea, and hubs and I are treating ourselves to a curry.

Hi poohbear - didn't get any flying done yesterday as took my sister for her interview and we ended up spending the rest of the avo in Southampton shopping and then I went straight to dinner at my M&D. Yes you are right about me qualifying as a primary teacher. Unfortunately I missed the boat in terms of the applications for September start as they all came out when I was on placement, and I wanted to put my energy into passing the course first and was worried about taking time out for interviews and school visits which have become expected now. I have found one job that I'm going to apply for, which is a maternity cover, but it means that if I got it, that unless the teacher decided not to come back, or another vacancy opened up in the school, I will have to complete my NQT year in another school. I didn't really want to go down the supply route as there is less job security etc, but looks like I may have to do this.
My sister has been working at Zizzi in town and has just been offered a permanent graduate job at a recruitment company so they are desperate for more staff there, and she is going to put in a word for me tonight and let them know about me wanting to eventually go into teaching so they know upfront, cos I don't really like it at my local pub much and the tips are awful (I got £2 on Wed despite doing all the waiting myself). Have work there tonight for my first evening shift at 7, so will see how that goes. Not looking forward to it much though.

Hi everyone!
Am being a very lazy girl today! Not done much flying but did manage to catch up on some washing. DD1 is at Grandmas tonight for a girly sleepover so we are treating DS and DD2 to a pizza! (bad mother!) Had to go back to GP who said eye problem is not serious - hooray - but told me I am stressed & tired - not so good!!! Am now trying to chill more and realise that I can't do it all NOW - things take time! This site is helping me see that though - thanks to all!!! Took remaining children for a walk to the park and they had a fab time! See you later!0 -
Well I could say I've been working hard doing housework all day but the purple tint to my hands would give it away
Did boys room (was actually tidy so didn't take me too long, but I must do the window when I go back up only bit I haven't done that I wanted to) not the same now, it's a bit of a mess after kids have been playing, need to clear up when I go upstairs.
Got to the bottom of my laundry basket, even done the cloths wash, but then found a downside, I dropped a pyrex dish in it, usually the washing would have broke it's fall but it hit the bottom and smashed to piecesCollected some brio for the boys from freecycle, well it's now a huge track across their bedroom! So that all needs picking up. I took my sis, her partner and his Dad to hospital.
Decided the rest could wait and went bramble picking, we got loads and I'm covered in nettle stings and bramble thorn scratchesbut it was fun. Hot water on now as I am a little purple and the kids are very purple :rotfl:
Off for a mooch on the site, basically I have a 2 litre jug almost full of brambles and I have no idea what to do with them..One day I might be more organised...........

I really should do something constructive now. Finally come indoors after chasing the sun round the garden all afternoon and reading my book. Polished off a 250g bar of Turksh Delight choccy while I was about it too so I better get active. Yikes!
Going to tackle the spare room. Its only been a few weeks since it was used for visitors but it's a bit of a shed again. Gonna get some music on and look lively. One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

What a fab idea solwaykid! It must be time for chocolate and as the sun is well and truly over the yard arm - a small wine must be in order to celebrate Friday! :j Tomorrow am hoping to take latest destroyed specs from DS to the magical people at Specsavers to resurrect and then going to attempt to take themed photos of kids to turn into calendar for rellies at Christmas. (I had the same idea last year and managed not to do anything about it but am feeling more inspired this year!) Will also try and get curtains washed in children's rooms if it stays dry - they've been up now for 2 years and not been washed yet (grim I know!)0

This is the second time I have used the term 'flylady' in so many days - could somebody take a couple of minutes to explain it to me?

Ginger Girl,That calendar sounds like a nice idea. How do you mean themed? And if you're joining me in chocolate, I'll join you in a glass of something friday-ish. Cheers!
Spare room all done and visitor ready. I must find homes for the permanently dumped stuff in there which at the mo is now in the livingroom. A job for tomorrow I think. One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400
