Evening all
Seems you have all been busy only started reading the today's contributions!
Been at work today so no flying here. Just put kids to bed DS has decided he doesn't like his bedroom, wants Mickey Mouse now instead of Thomas! He's taking a bit of adjusting back to sleeping on his own after the hols and I think he is missing Daddy but doesn't know how to tell meMight see if we can find some Mickey stickers for his wall at the weekend.
And I have already cancelled the Christening because it was getting very very silly and my DH had reached the limit of his stress levels (new son Dec, Mum dying in May after month in coma, trying to manage team in impossible situation and he doesn't do big social stuff well). I am a bit fed up - I would like him Christened because I go to church/believe/read bible. I am okay with the religious bit, but the social bit had just about brought me to a breakdown! I wouldn't mind, my eight month old has probably been to church more than most of those invited!
It is going to be difficult to convince work to have me back after maternity leave (they are a really good firm but just not set up for families) and I want to earn the money.
I am not sure I can afford the Diet Coke!
It rather puts the messy house & garden in perspective.
I think the flying may well keep me sane, because if I am worrying about getting oven clean I can avoid worrying about what is going to happen next week.
TBH I am glad DH is out of his work - he came home looking 10 years younger and so much happier. Whatever happens I am sure we will cope, and it could be a godsend. It is a chance for him to really look at what he wants to do.
Anyway, SIL coming Sat - she is really nice but I want to try and get the place looking like humans live here and I also have half dozen ebay parcels to send off. I may start from Mon's list and try and work through. If DH comes home today after seeing if he is going to get paid (which I expect) he can have DS and I can get moving.
Hev sorry to hear about your OH's job fingers crossed that he gets paid and finds something else soon.
Re the Christening our DD was christened on Mother's Day as part of the regular Sunday service and then people came back to mum and dad's afterwards. COuld it be incorporated into a Sunday service at your church? Every Sunday now we have coffee in the meeting room, perhaps you could do that instead (assuming you have somewhere at Church or in the Church Hall) perhaps rope in some of the church ladies, they love sorting things like this at our church. Our ladies put tea/coffee and cakes/biscuits on for us when we held DH's memorial service this year, I had nothing to do apart from thank you letters and flowers/chocsOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Just a little babytalk to make you giggle..
my 3 year old is potty training and as I helped on the toilet yesterday (she's got this add on little seat for kids that fits on the big toilet) she told me: "That's my toilet seat huh mummy? You don't fit on it because you have a fat bum!"
thanks darling..

Becca, that floor is lovely, little squirt and the pup are so cute too! Well done on the permanent contract too!
Lil_me, I know,I know.. Being a scaredy baby about the laundrette when I could well be eaten alive. I'll do it.
I gardened 'til it just gone 8 and have just vacc'd and remade my bed (with the other duvet). Bathroom can wait until tomorrow but it won't need much doing as it's still my pride and joy now that it's all finished. I still keep wandering in to have a look at it. Just last night's dishes to do once I've got hot water and before I make tonights dishes..
I need to find something to eat, that fruit salad sounds yummy but way too healthy (plus I've no fruit left in) and got a hankering for Becca's chinese takeaway now but will resist. Maybe. One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

hi all, I wrote a big post earlier and then laptop died - out of juice (bit like me). Anyway its plugged in now so this should work!
Very tiring day. DS was mega mega hyper this morning, you'd have thought I'd have been feeding him sugar for breakfast, so decided to take them out for a run around etc which killed me - I ended up kicking a football round the field and carrying coats and teddies and lifting them off the most stupid slide in the world ever (steps star about 2 ft off the ground so DD can't reach on her own) - but they had a lovely time and whats more I bumped into a friend I hadn't seen for about 6 months which was lovely.
Lunch went well, they had wraps with lots of little bowls of things, their favourite.
I am proud to say I have labelled everything for school :j :j Yay me
Also did inventory of winter stuff - coats, hats etc - and know what we need to get (of course that will need labelled too but never mind!).
Had a load of friends with their kids round this afternoon - 5 of us and 9 kids all under 5  very messy and noisy!
Tea was also a success tonight, DS has eaten really well today. We had potato wedges with cheese and tomato frittata - we told the kids it was egg pizza as they had a pizza shaped slice each. DS loved it, and the wedges, normally he's not too wild about them. And he didn't wet himself all day which is an unusual bonus!
Tomorrow they are in the creche for an hour and a half :T in the morning and then hopefully DD will sleep in the afternoon as she was very very tired today.
And I even had time to have a bath earlier. Slobbing on sofa now, just watched 10 Years Younger, that woman looked amazing after her facelift. Next week's looks well scary though! Cant wait for that one!Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

Becca great newswell done on getting the permenant contract
Great floor, what a difference but couldn't help saying Awwww! at the puppy and squirt! Lovely child, she's adorable isn't she and that fuzzy fluffy ball is soooo cute. I love that table aswell.
Thanks!
I love that table, not only for it's looks, but for the simple fact that it holds loads and loads of crap inside! You wouldn't believe the amount of toys and games we've got stored in that thing.

Morning all
Been up for a couple of hours but all I've done so far is Done breakfast and checked emails, etc on PC.
Had a lazy night last night as I decided to have a bath when the kids had gone to bed and read my new book from the library. Needless to say I got out of the bath 2.5 hours later.:o Finished my book though - I wouldn't get away with it if DH was at home;).
Went to Hanley yesterday afternoon to get my brother's birthday present and picked up a couple of Christmas presents while I was there so that was quite productive.
Need to finish the washing today and really ought to do some ironing.
Hope you're all having a good day.
