This has probably already been mentioned time and time again but I thought it should be flagged up at this point. I have always found Amazon Marketplace to be a pretty good place to get books for uni - though always hold on a couple of weeks to see how many of the 'required' texts you really need to buy as there are often stack loads of these in the library.0

Hi,
I would love to join the student moneysaving club. Ive read I go back next weds but am yet to hear about my results from the 2nd year.
I feel I am quite good with money, unlike my fiancee who is on the same course. No harm in learning more tips and possibly I can share some tips.

You can probably get books cheaply off second hand book sites or from people in the year above. But I think people have said to wait until you get there for what you need.
second hand arent any use to me, but thats what my DSA book allowance is for.:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0 -

Ahem, you trying to tell us you aren't walking around dressed like a huge cookie with just 2 arms and 2 legs sticking out of your cookie body? I don't think so. Hmmmm, chocolate chip cookies.
How is uni going VV, I am back tomorrow.
xxI got food in my belly and a license for my telly
And nothing's going to bring me down0 -
So today was my first day, Ethnomusicology is gonna be a blast! Lol, we spent all morning beating sticks together trying to imitate African drum beats while our teacher danced a rhythmic little dance! :jOn the money side my book bursary was not allocated to my card even though everyone else I spoke to has their books and all
, my loan has not come through yet even though everyone else I spoke to has had theirs
and to top it all off I left my lights on this morning and had to be jump started by two workmen working on campus ...lol, that bit was fun though and they were very cute
have to admit I'm loving Uni :rotfl:
The Universe and I are playing chess...and at present I'm winning

Woo. Week 2, and my first cancelled lecture. And to think, I was at uni for 9am ready for it as well!! Oh well. Meant I could spend the afternoon back here trying to get a proper internet connection sorted... Want to be spending much, much less time in the library and "borrowing" the network ports in halls lol.
Still waiting for my loan, but I do have an interview later this week - fingers crossed!!**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**0
