Thought I'd share with you all that I won a pigsback competition and got 2000 points (£20) woohoo! I'm saving the points to get vouchers for xmas.
Just so that you all know it really is worth entering the competitions, good luck.0 -

Hiya everyone *waves*
Can I join please? Just about to enter my first year. So far I'm really proud that with my boyfriend we've been able to buy food for four days for £10. This means that 8 days costs us £10 each! Not quite sure how we've been managing this whilst eating properly, ie 3 meals, fruit and veg. We're starting uni next Monday and I'd love to be able to save for birthdays and Christmas.0 -

Yes, well obviously I have had way too much caffiene today!
Ah yes, I remember it well. Three years old, the apple of her Daddies eye, it was a £250 velvet coat that I bought though not a dress. I lovingly handed it to her and she said in her sweet 3 year old voice "I'M NOT WEARING THAT!!!"
It was still in her wardrobe with the price ticket on it when she passed her 11 plus!! She has always been sensible and grown but also massively cookie.
Anyway, only 7 days until she gets internet access now (and I get some earache for this message) and to all you waiting for member numbers, she will post them as soon as she canComping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £00 -
Woo! Got my log-on details for the computers at the uni today, so in the library catching up on emails etc until we get everything sorted at the house...
So far... I've been "donated" around £50 worth of change - I'm banking £40 tomorrow, and that's going into the start of my £1000 savings challenge... I think being given money definately counts as money for nothing! I'm also waiting for 2 £10 John Lewis vouchers from Pigsback, and have enough for another one on my account, so will be ordering that asap and putting them in the pile for Christmas presents... That takes me to £70 already!
Started uni on Monday, been in every day this week... Realised it was costing me a fortune in tea/coffee from the SU ran canteen, so a group of us have smuggled a kettle into the studio we're based in and are making our own - paid 85p for a box of teabags and "borrowed" some sugar sachets from the canteen today, so working out at about 5p a cup - beats the 80p I was paying them!!
Freshers fair tomorrow, will report back with any freebies I manage to snag!
Hope everyone's settling in ok x**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**0 -
