  • Two of my friends actually managed to get away with sneaking a couple of dressmaking dummies out of our design studio (these are expensive too), they just stuck them in binliners and walked out with them! It is easier when you're on a course where its the norm to have loads of huge bags with you.

  • Oh yeah, you know some people use a jar for their change, well i use one of those money box tins that only have the coin slot in the top. That means no dipping in for a mars bar or a pint cos you have to open it with a tin-opener then its useless! I got my last one from uni (it was a stop smoking one) and the one im currently using was from a pound shop and is huge! its about 1/3 full with nothing less than 10p and a few notes, i reckon itl have LOADS in when its full!

    Get one! :)

Oh I know they cost a fortune, I didn't have the balls to do that either! Though on my course we had loads of fabrics and elastics in the studio for us to use including loads of swimwear fabric, me and my mate decided we were going to make bikinis for ourselves so took LOADS. It never happened though, both too lazy but I sold some of the fabric at a car boot the other week.

  • when i was in first year, we took it in turns to buy loo roll but there was one girl who just used to rob the uni's loo roll which we though was a bit unfair!

the house my oh used to live in, one of the lad's mum worked for the NHS as a cleanser, so all their cleaning supplies wer ein huge bottles and marked 'for institution use only'- which knowing my oh and his mates fitted perfectly!
