Hello! Ive just discovered this gem of a site, I want to join the student saving club too!
Im about to start my 3rd year, but want to clear as much of my overdraft as possible BEFORE I graduate cos as someone has mentioned on this thread, its a slippery slope
Its currently at -£1500 but i think i can give it a good go with ebay, odd jobs and using this site like the bible lol

hi skint! welcome to the club! your member number is....32! good luck with clearing your overdraft, it's a very good idea as a lot of student bank accounts change your account to one that doesn't have an interest free overdraft as soon as you graduate!!0

my mate in halls is always on the look out for loose industrial loo rolls at uni, it wont do your pride any good but if you can bag one every now and then it'll save you a bit!
and she swears by asdas 8p noodles too.
I live at home so havnt got many useful tips im afraid apart from dont blow your overdraft in your first year on clothes and shopping like i did else youll be paying for it later (ie now for me)

Im not moving anywhere but ive started 2 of my projects already, one doesnt even start til january. i used to take some of the toilet rolls from the toilets in the music block - just put them in my bag when no one was looking! mind you, they were only the small ones
