Marketing campaign starts on Monday. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

I saw a 555 poster at a tube station today but couldn't read the small print because the tube train pulled in to the platform! :cool:0

It will all be on the website on Monday and branches will have literature to support. However the very knowledgeable partners in branch and on the phone will answer questions if you can't wait.
An unexpected appearance of a few posters meant the press release embargo had to be lifted but unfortunately the plan was to scream and shout about it Monday when everything was live!
But the cash back earning is already live and as long as you have a classic plus a contactless card and are registered for internet banking then you don't need to do anything.0 -

TSB web and social media folks, as well as TSB CS were not informed, and T&Cs of the offer are still missing as of now. The website also still says there is no cashback with contactless payments. Granted, that's a different cashback to the cashback............but it needs updating.
Some gobby TSB CS folks claimed today there won't be any T&Cs as there is no need for any T&Cs.That's after they claimed there was no cashback when paying with contactless, and that there was no such thing as a 555 Classic Plus account, despite a TSB News Release to the contrary.
Once they conceded they were misinformed, they had no clue what the rules are e.g. for joint accounts, whether the payments are taxed by TSB, whether you get the cashback if you are overdrawn, what happens when you are requested to enter your PIN or when the cashback gets paid. It could be that TSB don't quite know the answers yet, and haven't yet told their IT folks what the rules are for the crediting of the cashback. Even if they have decided to credit the cashback manually, they'll have to tell their people what the rules are. They also have to tell their customers as otherwise they'll get swamped with costly enquiries, and perhaps complaints.
This one will probably make history in Business Schools case studies with the title "Launching a simple offer. How not to"0 -
Used contactless for £19.99 worth of petrol at Morrisons today as the cashier said it would only work for under £20. Even so, for me I'll just do weekly top ups of this amount and be close to the £100 monthly spend.
Then, soon enough they'll be £30 contactless amounts to make it quicker to £1000 -
Ahhh does this apply to Apple Pay? Guess its time for TSB to be the main account.

Great idea - just rather a shame that I never go into the only 2 shops with contactless where I live.0

I have two TSB accounts where both have their own debit cards. So does that mean you could in theory earn twice as much by using both cards? Having never used these cards before I have managed to unearth both cards but can only find one pin number sheet! I would imagine both cards have different pin numbers? But as you would only be using them contactless do you need to know the pin number anyway?0
