Add Boots, WH Smith, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Coop, Post Office, Tescos, TFL, BP and lots and lots more.
You can pay contactless wherever you see this symbol:
Barclays have a handy looking contactless-finder: http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal/pay-with-barclaycard/findretailer - though on second look, they don't seem to show a complete list.
Don't forget that if you have an iPhone 6, you can register your card with Apple Pay and pay with your phone.
Well in is not installed in my main Sainsburys in my town.
My list was for shops that I HAVE shopped at and done contactless purchases, not a list on a website. The more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!0 -
Agree with above posters that this is a clever way to get people spending rather than just using them as savings accounts.
Now I just need to remember where I hid my cards and PINs when I opened the accounts...
Oh and I need to update my savings/cashback spreadsheets, hurray! New columns of data joy!0 -

Do we think/know this is £5 per month per account, or £5 per month per debit card?
Me and the OH have 5 between us (2 each and 1 joint, as the joint was such a pain to open in the end, we didn't go for the second one), so is it just the first £100 of contactless spend on either joint card that is eligible?
Shopping in our house just got SO much more confusing!0 -
No we don't know as TSB have as yet not published any T&Cs, or mentioned the offer in any other way on their website.0

I will also use the card only to my advantage (assuming they'll give me contactless. I have three other cards with the facility and a regular saver with TSB also, but you never know.) I guess they're hoping to catch those people who go for simplicity and will use the same card for everything (moving their spending to TSB) and those that don't switch often (so they'll stay in the habit once the cashback disappears.) As contactless grows, 5% cashback will be too good an incentive for people to pass up, so they'll make the switch over.
I haven't actually used contactless yet, but I know a few places that I could use it. Do you have to tell the cashier that you want to pay using contactless or do you just go ahead and present your card to the terminal?0 -

Apparently Sainsbury's are rolling out new point of sale software which will support contactless, but it could take a while. And Tesco seem to be hedging their bets on their new PayQwiq service - only a limited number of stores have contactless terminals.I find that doubtful.
If a merchant does not take Amex, I can pay via PayPal, and still pay using Amex, but I think I lose some protection by not paying direct.
I expect TSB won't see a Contactless transaction if you go through Apple Pay.
Still, I am tempted. I currently get 3% cashback on petrol using he Santander 123 credit card. Tend to do £40 fill-ups, but I can easily fill-up £29 each time instead.
They should because it is a contactless transaction, albeit with additional verification. RBS recognise contactless transactions via Apple Pay.
RBS only pay cashback on Apple Pay contactless transactions up to £30. It will be great if TSB don't have such a limit as it won't be long before merchants start accepting higher value payments for payments verified by device (CDCVM).0 -
Also, I'm wondering what happens with those transactions where we use TSB contactless but the terminal asks for PIN verification. I guess we'll have to wait for the T's and C's to see whether TSB would still recognise that as contactless and pay the cashback. It might cause issues if they wouldn't and the customer then elects to change the card (wanting to use the other card to secure a lesser rate of cashback rather than nothing at all.)0

Apparently there will be leaflets about the offer in Branch from the 7th. Nobody in TSB I have spoken to has the first clue what the T&Cs are, although some said the offer is live now. Others said they don't know anything about it.
24 x 7 CS is on 0345 975 8758. May be one of you good people will have more luck to get any sense out of them.0
