I get unsocial hours for the weekend as well, people normally fight to work them so it will be a welcome bonus on my wage next month. I will also get my pay rise added on next month, dont usually notice much difference with my yearly increment though.
Im waiting on some back pay as well, dont have any idea when i will get it but i cant wait as im so excited because it should be around £500 when it does come. Its been expected all year though, every time the wage slips come we all run straight to them to see if the money is there. it would be so nice before christmas.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -

Hope everyone is well today, trying to have a no spend day but im so desperate to go out shopping. glad ive got this site to keep me occupied and help me resist it, as there really isnt anything i need to buy. i guess it takes a long time to get rid of old habbits.
Im so pleased about being sub 30k i know i have only just touched the surface of my debt but it feels like a big milestone for some reason. I guess the next one will be to get sub 25k, which will be good as that should mean i have got rid of that mint card and all the interest ive been paying.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Ive just posted my overseas cards and pressies. Finished all my wrapping, just waiting for a few bits from ebay to arrive. ive got my god children coming at the weekend to 'help' me decorate. got some paper mache baubles in the sale last year for them to decorate. i also just found some great christmas activity colouring sets in poundland so i will have lots to keep them occupied.
the postman has been good to me today and brought £30 boots vouchers, will have to be restrained and not use them just for the sake of it. remind me that they can be used for next year! he also brought a dvd from play for my oh.
Ive got all my mums shopping ready to wrap in front of me (except for mine) she hates shopping so sends me a list and money! its a great way to help feed my shopping addiction without spending my money. i just insist that she sends me the written tags, which also arrived this morning.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Hi Lunar,
Well done on your sub-£30k achievement - that's brilliant! You're on the way now, just keep going. Your enthusiasm is infectious, and I've started to dream about what it will be like to be debt free and the things I can do with OH (start thinking about kids etc).
I'm hoping for a hefty backpay checque in the next few weeks - should add up to around £600 alltogether. Woo hoo! That can go off my overdraft.
Speak soon,

Backpay, does that mean you are a fellow NHS worker Falady? Im not waiting to be debt free to start a family, its the only thing more importand to me right now.
Its a good job too, starting my treatment, so i should know around christmas if it has worked. excited and nervous too, god knows what would happen to my debts, i would be ok with the payments on meternity pay, but i wouldnt be able to overpay. its so important to me to have childern that everything else will take a back seat.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
