Great news!
Before Christmas - that's fairly quick. Here's hoping it all goes brilliantly for you.0 -
:T
Fantastic news on both counts! Was thinking about you over the weekend, and thought about your 6lb target with sympathy when I was sitting in McDonalds on Thursday:o !
That's really great that they're going to get started on it before Christmas - does that mean it might be a non-boozy Christmas for you too?! I really hope it all goes well for you.0 -
That is really good news for you......Just remember it's a clean slate and don't let the previous experiences with your ex spoil that. Keep positive -got everything crossed that Christmas or the New Year brings you a really wonderful gift !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Thanks everyone for the support, where did the forum go yesterday?
we have been on the waiting list for over a year so im really excited that i got my funding on the nhs.
I dont really drink very much, one to two glasses of wine at the most as im always thinking maybe it will happen this month.
i really cant believe i lost that weight, need to keep it off as they weigh again when i start treatment.
Been a little naughty with the spending, went out for a meal friday night to celebrate and spent £54 including drinks and taxies, oops!
Ive been working so many hours recently, think i need to get to sleep, will just look through a few more posts......DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
All my direct debits for the month have gone out now so i have made an overpayment of £200 to my mint card, i should be able to pay more off before the end of the month so i will definatly be sub 30k. i know i should be more excited about it but it feels like a really long way to go! at least i have this site for company!DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

Good to hear from you again!
That's brilliant news about making the overpayment - I know how you feel about it feeling like a massive way to go, but I'll swop if you want - I've got over fifty grand to pay off before I'll be sub 30k! I remember being excited about being sub-80k, until we bought that car!
Good on you for having a nice meal out - you deserve it! Take it nice and easy and hopefully if you're relaxed the treatment might be more effective!0 -
It might just be because i havnt updated my sig yet that i am not excited yet about being sub 30k. I normally like to do it at the end of the month when all the interest has been added back on to my accounts.
Panda i think you will be sub 80k soon enough, you just work so hard all the time to pay off your debts.
I found out why my oh got rejected for his credit card, even though he has no debts and earns more than me, he hasnt lived in the uk for 3 years yet continuously. He lived here for 2 years, and has now lived here for 2 years 10 months.
It still seems odd to me, he has always had a job and payed plenty of tax and NI. Oh well at least we know the reason now, we have been advised that if we wait for 3 months he shouldnt have a problem getting a credit card and i can try the balance transfer again.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
managed to have 2 no spend days in a row, trying to make it 3 today. I think i need to get back to the spending diary as ive let things slip a little over the past couple of weeks.
Got to go iron my uniform, working in an hour and im just to lazy to get sorted. I have packaged up some e-bay stuff to post on my way out though.
Hope everyone is well, i did get £40 from post man in boots vouchers today. will catch up properly soonDFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
That's a nice treat from the postman! Are you going to treat yourself with them, or Ebay them?!
Come on you, get that signature updated!!! I've just done mine, and it feels great as there haven't been any additions to anything this month for the first time in ages - all the switching and 3% balance transfer fees have been making it look much worse for a while, but feel much better now they're all sorted!
That's kind-of good news about the credit card - at least it is something tangiable rather than a fail on credit score or anything. He's very honest - if it was me I'd just round up and say I'd been here 3 years!0
