Hi panda. Ive been so busy with work the last few days, havent had time for much else. Did you have any interest from your open weekend?

I need to go through all my accounts today to see how much i am able to overpay this month. I still have £17 left in my purse and i havnt used my bank account for a while. Looking forward to checking my totals this month but i dont think it will be as good as last month. So long as the totals are coming down im not too worried though.

Im going to do some christmas shopping today as i have some vouchers which i recieved in the post. i refered my mum to sky so we both got lots of M&S vouchers to spend. Ive got £20 of boots vouchers on the way form pigsback so will be using then for the christams shopping when they arrive. so far i havent really had to spend any actual money on christmas, i have managed to get plenty of vouchers and have had money in paypal from selling on ebay.

Im going to give up on rearrainging my credit for a few months. let things settle, inprove my credit rating, reduce my debts then try again next year. Remind myself that i can only do what i can do!

Oh my god, i cant shop! I know that should be a good thing but i cant even bring myself to spend vouchers and boots points! i was looking for sone christmas bargins in boots as i have points and vouchers and i could hardly bring myself to go to the till.

I just cant believe the change in me, this time last year i was throwing so many items into my basket, i didnt even know who they were for or if i really needed them.

im just wondering how this happened, and how can i make myself do the same for dieting. I feel that i have control over money now, i look forward to seeing my statements. can someone please tell me how to transfer this to make me stop eating!!!

This is sort of the way I feel. I was shopping at the weekend with OH and DD and we bought precisely nothing! Well DD bought a box set of books but she paid for them herself and the set of 6 was only £10 when one book alone would have cost £5. As for everything else, I looked, I touched, I thought "Hmm, that's nice but I don't need it" and then I walked away.

I also really resent buying anything if I can't get it reduced / find a discount code / go through Quidco etc.

I do still have my moments though! Not completely cured of being a spendaholic yet!

I doubt i will ever be completly cured of my shopping addiction, but at least im in charge of it now. I think i enjoy the things i do buy so much more now as well, because its a treat, not just a nother shopping bag to be tucked away and forgotten about.

  • I also think ebaying has helped, as now when I look at anything to buy, i think, will it just end up on ebay soon?

Congratulations on losing the ability to shop!!! I'm experiencing something similar, but unfortunately I'm not totally cured yet!

Bet it felt great to get to the checkout at Boots without a massive load of stuff that you really didn't need!

Great result on the totals - you'll definitely be under 30k by next month, especially if the non-shopping keeps up!
