Definitely try acupuncture then. It's very powerful stuff and is based on the Chinese approach to medicine so if Chinese herbal medicine worked for you once it may well do again.

    Good luck

    Hi Lunar

Just thought I'd wish you luck and say thanks for posting on my diary - I read you diary a while ago but hadn't recently, so hadn't realised that I'm being totally unsensitive when moaning about pregnancy/kids all the time.

You're doing great with the debt and much better than me at stopping spending. You're quite an inspiration!!!

Pandapaws, i didnt mean it to sound like that. I really do love to hear about other peoples children. sometimes when people know you cant have children naturally it seems to become a taboo subject. It sort of fels like you are being excluded. my best friend had 5 children in 6 years! i never feel jelous or hurt with her even when she moans about them.

What i find hard is mainly my own issues, sometimes it is difficult to cope with. I dont feel feminin, like im not a proper woman, and im defective somehow. and its at this time when the old wives tales about fertility or people telling me its in gods hands that i get upset. Most of the time i am able to deal with it by reminding myself that one day i will have a child, and if i adopt i could give a better life to a needy child.

Im sorry if i sounded like i hated people talking about there children, its honestly quite the oppersite. i just dont like to be grilled about why dont i have kids yet!

Im just glad to have support from everyone here.

    evening everyone.

Im feeling a bit more positive about things again today, checked my balance online as my direct debits have all gone out fo the month. there is £342 left in the account and i have £34 in my purse. so thats my challenge for the rest of the month, to use ony the £34 for everything and overpay by £342 on 24th oct (day before payday). I will put it straight onto the mint card.

wil have o do lots of walking i think as ive got not much petrol left and £10 to pay for my christmas night out with work.

Im aming to have a no spend day today, if i take the car out then ill need petrol so im leaving it at home today. I might sit in and sort through the christmas persents i have bought so far and look at what i still need to buy.

I love the photo album i made for my OH so i might look at doing a similar thing for my parents for christmas. I have been making a nappy cake for a friend who just had a baby but it didnt cost much as it was with a collection we had at work. we each put in £3.00 I would love to be able to spend all my time making them but i dont think it would really be profitable.

Oh well will just have to stick to the day job.

  • Couldn't you do it as a "side job" and see how it goes? I bought a baby bouquet for a friend and the cost of the bouquet was way more than the cost of the clothes that went into it (1 baby grow, 2 vests and 2 pairs of socks).

If people liked what they were getting word could spread. My Mum started catering and in two years is now innundated with work - all repeat and word-of-mouth business.

BTW, do you have a photo of the nappy cake? Can you post it here?

ill have a go at a pic when my oh gets in, he keeps the camera in his work bag most of the time. i did make some and sold them on ebay a few years ago but getting the things in costs a bit at first and id be worried about buying things in case it didnt sell. I was thinking i could look in the january sales at that would prob be the best time to make purchases.

hope you are feeling well with the pregnancy chocaholic, i love those 4d scans there amazing.

Ive posted this on the credit card board but thought i would ask on my diary as well, just to cover the bases, i want to get applying for next card asap!

    Ive just got my first lot of credit card debt onto 0%, im wanting to get the rest transfered and wanted some advice on what my next step should be. my current cards are as follows;

    nat west £4090 0% for 13 months limit £4200
    Barclaycard Balance £1320 @ 19% limit £1500
    Mint Balance £4500 @ 25% limit £4600
    Egg Balance £9411 @17.9% limit £9500

I think i remember reading that virgin give quite good credit limits, i have had a couple of missed payments this year, accounts all brought up to date by june time. I also wanted to be able to sign up for the new card through a cash back site, any suggestions on what to do next will be greatfully recieved.

I'm no expert on credit cards, but I've certainly got plenty of experience of having them!!!

Virgin are generally quite good - they gave me a £10k limit when I was self-employed, and the extra bonus with them is that you can withdraw almost the entire lot as cash if you want on the 0%, so you can pay anything off with it rather than just balance transfers. They also don't take full repayments while you're in your interest free perios - I pay only £15 a month on my £10k balanc. Not good for paying it off, but great if you want to free up a bit of cash to pay towards something else instead! The card is actually through MBNA, and just trades with the Virgin name.

The other 2 that I know of that seem to be quite generous are Mint & Egg, but you've already got those! Halifax gave my hubby a good limit and a decent deal, but I'm loathe to recommend them as I hate Halifax! I know that HSBC are doing a 5.9% balance transfer rate until 2012, which isn't as good as 0% but a lot cheaper than standard rate. I saw a cashback offer for them - think it was Quidco, but might have been TopCashback?

Hope you get loads of better advice on the credit card board! If you get any good tips, let us know!

Looking forward to seeing the photo of the nappy cake - what a great idea! If you're talented in that dept, can you do cakes for weddings, birthdays, Christmas etc? I had a mate that wasn't particularly talented, but managed to make about £200 making Christmas cakes from ready-mix packets from Asda and selling them to workmates!
