I think i will go for that weekend away, as i work shifts and he does lots of on-call we dont see each other much unless we actually make the effort to go away. its a nightmare trying to get a weekend together unless we plan ages in advance and then turn the phones off when it gets here!

Ive been really lazy today, and i had loads to do, ill have to make up for it tomorrow i guess. need to think about what we will have fro tea when i pick him up, must go shopping this weekend. Hope everyone is having a good friday night, i might open some wine when i have picked him up.

evening everyone. had a crappy evening and feeling realy low now. had 3 friends round talking about their children, which i love to hear, but then the subject turns to how lucky i am not to have any. i just want to scream that i would give anything to have my own children. sorry for moaning but i find it so hard to talk about peope think im relaxed about it because i never let on how sad it makes me.

i am open to the idea of adopting if i dont get pregnant with ivf but i wouldnt even be considered till the debt is gone. i start treatment in around 3 months, need to loose 10 lbs before then. it just seems like a never ending struggle. thanks for listening if you are still reading.

Lunar, I wish I could find the hugs smilie but I cant, so please consider yourself hugged ((()))

People can be so insensitive. I'm sure your friends would hate to upset you.

I really hope all goes well with the ivf or, if necessary, adoption.

Are you sure the debt is a barrier to adoption? Surely the adoption workers are first and foremost looking for responsible and loving parents. From what I've seen of you on here you have both of those qualities in spades.

thanks seaxwyn, my friends dont know because i dont tell them so its completly my own fault but i just never feel able to talk about it as its so painful to face the thought of never having children, never mind saying it out loud.

from what ive read on the internet you have a credit check so the adoption agencies know the child would be going to a stable home. even more insentive to get this debt payed off quickly.

  • ah Lunar. Not a nice position to be in hun. I tried for years to get pregnant and couldnt. I got pregnant once in 8 years and miscarried. I had one test to go before IVF was to be started and I got pregnant naturally so I was really really lucky. I would have told my friends and family about it all but ex hubby wouldnt let me talk about it as he was embarrassed. I put up with all the comments ' oh we'll have to knit you a bairn' etc etc and used to smile along with everyone whilst my heart was broken. You go for it girl and get your baby. Sending you huge hugs and good lucks. xxxx

Lunar, have you found out the reason for failing to get pregnant? Just one idea, I used to know an acupuncturist who performed miracles for women who seemed to be infertile. It could be worth looking into if you haven't already. Sorry if that's unhelpful - and I know it's really expensive too.
