...or with me, it's more a case of "Will it end up sitting in the mountain of stuff that I can never be a***ed listing on Ebay?"!!!

Lol, I have had a load of stuff sitting in the bottom of my wardrobe for ages and am only listing it now because hypno was doing a "Make £100 from ebay challenge" and I'm so anal that once I've said on here I'll do it, it makes me do it! The Flylady thread also helps, as I add it to my daily tasks and if I see it there not crossed out I have to do it! I just can't help myself!

I guess i really have to get listing now. i know ebay will be flooded after christmas so i dont want to miss this opportunity to make some money and clear out some space. I will aim for 5 items a day and see how i go from there.

  • I'm only aiming for 3 a day because not only do I hate listing stuff, i hate, hate, hate parcelling it all up, and then even worse, if I end up with a lot to send at once I hate that most of the Post Office staff tut and make me feel like an inconvenience!

3 items of clothing i will never wear have now been put on ebay

now i just have to do the same every time im not working until its all gone

I know what you mean about not liking takling multiple items to the post office, they can be really horrible about sending parcles, even when you fill in the forms before you get there.

ill have a trip to poundland later on, stock up on some large padded envelopes ready for posting.

ive also got 2 old moblie phones i can list. i will just have to get all the bits together and box them up.

Great that you're being motivated enough to get it all listed!

Choco, I have the opposite view to parceling: I HATE it as well, but I always found that rather than having to do a few every day, I would try and bulk them together and do the lot at once. Made it quicker really, less trips to PO etc.

I also had a very nasty post office and dreaded going there, but had a bit of a drive around and tried some of the little village sub-post offices (the ones that haven't been shut down!). A lot of them will do an Ebay dump-and-run service for their regulars, so it's well worth asking. I left a credit card with PIN (one with a very low limit and paid-in-full direct debit!) and when they're quiet, just dumped my parcels there whenever suited, and they'd do the rest! Other people leave blank cheques etc if you're not keen on the card idea. Now I'm back at work I've wound the Ebay business thing down a bit and all my stock is at my now part-time employees house, so for £300 a month, she does the whole lot for me!

Got a really high spec Dell PC that I need to list - if I'd done it when I first though of it about 6 months ago it'd probably have been worth £600, probably about half of that now, and decreasing daily. No more excuses - must do this weekend!

so glad we are back online, i think i may have broken the refresh button over the last few days. got quite a bit of my christmas shopping done over the weekend, without spending to much actual money which im pleased about. i also got some nice cheap baskets to make up my hampers. i only have 4 presents left to get now and they are not big ones so im pleased with that.

I think this is the first year since i turned 18 that christmas hasnt been put on credit. i even have morrisons saving stamps and some left over m&s vouchers to do the food shopping.

Im not sure if i will be able to overpay much this month but i should just about get under the 30k mark.

Im having so much fun today, im such a kid. ive got my christmas music on, am writing cards, making up hampers, and looking at all my decorations. i love christmas and i feel so good that i have done it all without credit this year.

i will have to clean up before my oh comes home as he will think i have gon crazy if he sees and hears all this. im going to have a look this week at everything i will cook this year, decide if i need to practice anything and make out a shopping list of everything i need. this way i can start shopping around for bargins and offers.

this is definatly the best time of year for me. im just over excited as i thought i would be bankrupt by now. if i hadnt found this site i definatly would have been heading that way.

    Hi Lunar
Just catching up on your thread, you are doing so well.
I have to say the ebay thing is something I find tedious too, I'm glad it's not just me.I really feel it's a chore, think I'd rather do the ironing.
I found a couple of old 80's CD singles that I really must list as their value seems to be a weeks shopping, coupled with around 6 old mobiles. I know once they are listed I'll be watching every bid, just need a push to get it done.
