  • Oh, lunar, I'm so sorry. :grouphug:

There's me feeling sorry for myself and some people have real problems :(

Do you only get one try on the NHS? Really, really hoping that it happens for you next time. Tell your OH he has to take good care of you and really spoil you this weekend!

Lunar, I haven't posted on here before but I just wanted to say how sorry I am that it didn't work. (((hugs))) My sister has just had her 2nd try (1st try was a complete failure, they didn't get ANY viable eggs - this time they have managed to) and we are waiting to find out if it has worked, and it's just such a stressful time.

Give yourself time to recover, and I sincerely hope it works next time. xxx

hello sweetheart. I am so so sorry to hear that this time it hasn't worked for you. My fingers are crossed for your next go and hopefully the NHS will see their way to helping you with this again.

Big big hugs to you and I hope that you have a lovely relaxing evening and weekend.

I'm so sorry that it hasn't given you the result that you wanted. Is there no way that you can talk them into trying again for you? It isn't a process that I know much about, but I have a cousin who got lucky on her third attempt, so keep hoping and don't give up. At least your OH is so supportive, and that he's able to help with financial side of it.

Sorry that it isn't the Christmas that you'd hoped for, but try not to get too upset by it and don't give up.

thankyou to you all for your kind thoughts. i dont think it has really sunk in yet. where i live you only get one attempt at ivf for free. I know its not really about money saving so im sorry to keep mentioning it on here. If they wont treat me again we will have private treatment. its a possibility we thought ma happen and oh has a good wage so i will still be able to reduce my debt. I just dont want to go through the treatment. We will keep trying. if i get to 30 we will go for adoption. its something we have discussed doing even if i concieved naturally, and we are in touch with an agency about it. they did a primary interview and said we would be ideal when we are ready. obviously i would have to be financially sound first.

thankyou again for all of your support, it means so much to know that people out there care so much about others that they only know online.

don't even think of apologising for posting about something non debt related. hold out your hand and smack the back of it!! anything in our lives can affect everything else and what your going through can affect your entire wellbeing so of course you should post it here!!
the treatment must be incredibly hard to go through, esp with all the needles!! (every respect coming your way from a needlephobic!!) and also with so much at stake each time, give yourself some time to recuperate from this so you are strong enough to handle the treatment for when the next opportunity comes around. big hugs. xxx

Snaggles thanks for popping in and offering your support, its nice to have such support on here, in all aspects of life, not just money saving.

Chocaholic, I think what you have been going through with your family is terrible. you always seen to be able to put others first. Its good to know that your childern wont ever have to face the same problems as you have, they are really lucky to have you. Im really hoping that it all sorts its self out over time, without more difficult situations.

Panda, we will be trying to get one more ivf on the nhs, we didnt have the iui that you can have on the nhs as our doctor didnt think it would work for us. hopefully that might mean we can have a second try. I think i would still wait a couple of months to try again though.

Pania, thanks for the hugs. Im not to bad with the needles, im a nurse so i shouldnt be! its the hormones you have that put me off balance, so maybe its my oh you should feel sorry for.

thanks again for all the support, it really makes a difference. Im trying to feel positive about it again now, ready for next year. Im feeling good about making real headway with the debt next year, i will be trying to halve it at least.

  • Right Lunar we must do the weight thing after Christmas. New years resolution for us. I just got tested for diabetes as been knackered and they thought cos of my weight it may be that. I was mega shocked and cant believe I could let myself go so badly that my health could be affected. Thankfully the tests were fine so I feel I have been given another chance.

Now you want to lose weight so you can put on weight !! No better reason if you ask me. HUGE hugs from me hun. Take care of you and hubby xx and we will start again with the weight loss on 1st Jan if you want to join me

Hi MIT i will definatly be joining you on jan 1st, once the christmas choccies are all gone! Glad your tests were all ok, a scare like that can be just the shock to motivate you! ill get my scales dusted off ready.

Ive got some of my back pay at last so i have managed to pay an extra £350 off my barclay card. Ive decided that has to be the next thing to go as this is the card where i had a couple of missed payments. I think getting it paid off and closed will make me feel loads better, and this extra money has ment it has gone under £1000 so its a psychological boost.

Ive just been for the most horrific shopping trip to asda, you would think bombs were falling and we would never be able to buy food again, the way some people were shopping. I managed to get everything i need, so no more shopping for me until after the big day, thank god.
