Ive just been for the most horrific shopping trip to asda, you would think bombs were falling and we would never be able to buy food again, the way some people were shopping. I managed to get everything i need, so no more shopping for me until after the big day, thank god.

You didn't bump into my step-dad there did you? He said very similar and said he was sworn and shouted at by a woman because he took the last packet of flour off a shelf!
Glad I had my shopping delivered!

Think i will definatly go for my shopping online next year, i am not a confidant driver and spending 15 mins trying to park made me so stressed, i was ready to cry by the time i got a space!

all my pressies have been given out, my family came over for the day so we have had a christmas dinner all ready. I was a bit sorry to see all my hampers go! im really proud of all the presents i bought this year, so much thought has gone into them all. There seems to be loads of pressies for me and oh left under the tree, im like a kid prodding and shaking the boxes!

Had a no spend day today, i filled the car up with petrol last night, the fridge is full, I have kept £5 in my purse, apart from milk and bread i dont need to spend anything else this year. we wont be going out over the holidays. Im planning to revise my SOA in the new year, and restart the spending diary, if im going to make my 15k target i will have to be really commited to saving money.

Glad that you're sounding so positive about everything. Giggling at the thought of you prodding your Xmas pressies! No cheating, or Santa might not come tomorrow!!!

Can I join you and MIT in spirit on the 1st Jan? I'll be 30wks pregnant on that date, so probably not the best time in the world to start a diet, but I DESPERATELY need to do something about it as soon as I can. Like the money, it's all faffing around, having a salad for lunch and a chippy for dinner! MIT, I know what you mean about the diabetes test - I just had to have a glucose test as part of my pregnancy bloods because my BMI is so bloomin high. I've got away with it too, but it definitely needs to be addressed. Looking forward to the challenge when it comes around!

Anyway, have a great Christmas. You've put so much effort into it that I'm sure it will be perfect.

Panda, you are more than welcome to join us on jan 1st, we were really comitted last time we did the diet thing, we were ever so enthusiastic, for about a whole 10 days!!! Must do better this time. Even if you dont do it to loose weight while your pregnant you can still be heathy with us.

Ive stopped prodding my pressies now, hopefully santa will still come. Good to see your updated totals panda, glad you made it under 80k before christmas, i bet that was a nice feeling.

Im trying to stop myself going to asda at midnight, its reopening and a couple of friends are going. there is absolutly nothing i need and im determined not to spend more before the new year. I will just have to stay on the computer to prevent me going out.

All the pressies are under my tree, everything it tidy and the food is all prepared for tomorrow. OH gave me an early christmas pressie which has had me in tears. He has made me a private appointment in the new year for fertility treatment and has put the money aside for it. I couldnt have asked for a better present, he had done loads of locum work, so has saved the full amount. I thought i would be waiting till at least march or april before we had the money together for it. this way i should be starting treatment in late jan/early feb. hopefulle this will be our last christmas with just the 2 of us.

Hope everyone had a great christmas day. I had a brilliant time, work was good fun, meal was great, i think its the best one ive cooked. i got really spoilt with pressies, I apriciated them so much as i havnt really bought anything since i had my LBM.

    On top of the IVF suprise that oh is paying for i got;

    Pair of boots
    2 tops
    trousers
    underwear
    2 pairs of earings
    4 books
    candles
lots of lush and body shop stuff
    4 dvd's
    make-up brushes
    totes socks
    pj's
    2 mugs
    4 mini bottles of perfume
    loads of chocolate and sweets

I havnt opened one present that i didnt like or wont use, so even though it is loads of pressies they will all be put to good use and will count as all my luxuries until my birthday in july. OH also gave me £40 to go out to the sales tomorrow to look for bargins for next year. I feel so lucky and am really ready to get making overpayments on the debt next year and meet my 15k target.

the hampers i made went down really well so ill be doing the same next year, im so greatful to the ideas for hampers from this site, its saved me a fortune this year.
