Glad to hear everything's going ok with the treatment. If it's not too personal a question, how soon could you expect things to start happening?
Grr at Egg! I have had my differences with them but ironically they are now the card with the lowest interest that I hold.0 -
Hiya! Really pleased for you that you've finally got the treatment on the go, and I really, really hope that it's successful. I don't know much about that sort of thing - how long does the treatment last, and when are you likely to know the results? My heart really goes out to you, if there was anything I could do to help I would (although crossing fingers and sending nice thoughts is probably about the extent of it unfortunately!).
Lousy luck with Egg. We're on 0% with them, so I can't complain, but that's not very nice of them to increase your rate like that. Any thoughts about getting another 0% deal? I think you've just been extremely unlucky with the rejections. After us being virtually credit-lepers in the summer and being refused for everything, we're now everybody's favourite customers again - DH was sent a new credit card with 6k on it the other day (Argos Mastercard - only did it for the rewards scheme which is brill, but useless card to keep a balance on), and his Halifax card who refused him a £200 limit increase in the summer increased it by £3k this week without asking! So they really do change their minds with the weather, well worth another go!
Glad you've got Christmas buttoned up! Hope that you're not too tired with the treatment to enjoy it as you've put so much effort in!
Keeping those fingers crossed and sending those nice thoughts now!0 -
Hi Lunar..I've just read your entire diary!!...you are doing so well and good luck with the treatment...I really hope it's a success..and you'll soon have that debt on 0% cards..take care xx0

The treatment takes around the time of a normal monthly cycle, so i really shouldnt have to wait too long. Ive done all the hard bit now, just the waiting bit to go. I find the waiting bit really hard but im so busy with christmas its helping to distract me!
Thanks for reading my diary taxi, hope you didnt get too board! good luck in paying off 20k by next christmas, your making good progress so far.
I think im still going to wait a few months till i apply for a nother card, just to be sure. thanks to everyone for the good luck wishes, it means a lot.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -
Ack, sometimes the waiting is the hardest bit. I know that from our own efforts to conceive (though without treatment). We started trying January 2006 and the last two weeks of every cycle are torture waiting to see...or maybe that's just me? You'll have to get involved in lots of DFW challenges to take your mind off it0

I really should get on with some of the challenges, ive been really naughty this month with money saving. I havent used any credit as i dont have any cards, i cut them all up. but i have really overspent, I have to confess, i just did some christmas food shopping in marks which came to £34. I did use vouchers form refering someone to sky but still it could have been spent better!
Im counting down my 2 week wait, im not being too exact with the dates of my treatment as i am paranoid about people recognising me on here, i now lots of people who use this site. It really shouldnt have long to wait now though. I keep thinking of ways to tell my oh if it works, thinking of buying something that says daddy on it to give him. Not to sure if he would get it though, he is very clever, but the simple things in life really do escape him! I cant even get him to understand deal or no deal!DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0 -

Is that because he doesn't understand or because he doesn't WANT to understand? My OH is very good at not getting things that he just doesn't want to do (online or telephone banking, phoning pretty much anyone, sorting out insurance etc)0 -
Its sad but i really think its because he doesnt understand! god knows why. I dont think he really has any interest in understanding though, when he does try i get so annoyed i end up doing things anyway. oh well he does work a 70 hr week so i will forgive him.DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0

treatment didnt work this month. we are going back to the hospital next week but i think thats it for my nhs funding. OH has some savings that we were keeping for a deposit for our house when my debts are gone, we will wait a few months so he can put a bit more aside and then go private, prob in march time. we have decided that we can have 3 tries in a year privatly. its £3000 each time. we will just make sure to space it out. i need to recover from this try first.
Wonder if martin can find some MES fertility treatment for me?DFW NERD NO.656 DEBT FREE 24TH NOVEMBER 2010 TOTAL DEBT AUGUST 2007 £39000MFiT T2 NO.56 WE OWN [STRIKE]25%[/STRIKE] 31.5% OF OUR HOUSE SO FAR!0
