Thanks to whomever first mentioned the Asda smartprice fleece blankets. I have just amended my order to include a chocolate coloured one. (£1.77 online. If its any lower when it arrives I'll let you know.)

Have also added a radiator airer so that if we are only drying a few bits we don't whack the tumble dryer on.

Is this just an online thing? I was in Asda yesterday, looking for fleecy blankets (I've had it with duvets, and I just want to have a heap of blankets on my bed), and I definitely didn't see any at this price! (didn't see any at all that weren't for kids actually).
I'm off to check the website now :)

    EDIT What size are they?

They're 122cm x152cm and come in either cream or brown. I got mine instore, and they were £1.77. They were in the section where the cushions are.

    Hi All

had hell of a task last night - moving a very big, very heavy, leather sofa - not an easy job - the one that was blocking my radiator in my bedroom is now gone :j so now i have space in my bedroom so have to go and get it cleaned as there was alot of damp behind it - but now hoping it means i can get the room aired etc.

Today my main task is to look through everything as im going to get the bedroom sorted - bf seems to have lots of clothes he doesnt like wearing so im wondering if i can get him to clear some of them out.

More rain here in south wales though and im suffering today - either tooth ache but it feels like tis mroe the gum/nerve and nto the actual tooth but ihave a wisdom tooth on that side coming through so thinking thats interfereing with it as im fine one minute and in pain the next! Havent taken a pain killer in about 5 years though (oh bar the paracetemol the midwife gave me for my contractions!) so i will plod on.

Hoping today I can get the bathroom cleaned, and tidy (looking to repaint it), toilet cleaned, kitchen cleaned and then attack our bedroom.
    Time to find me again
  • I have bought 2 of those fleeces from asda this saturday were £1.77 bargin they are perfect for in the living room just need to get 3 more now so each of us has our own and then 1 spare for guests. Off into the village to get some hooks for above my front and back doors to put door curtains up - i have some nice thick velvet ones.

Aargh, more rain! The horse chestnut tree in our drive is dropping conkers already, and my winter flowering pansies have started flowering.
I put the quilt back on the bed last night too.

Hubby spent the weekend putting down the rest of the loft insulation in both the lofts (we've got two because there is the old original stone part of the house, and the newer brick extension) and putting boards down.
He's still got some more boards to do that will need sawing to size, so that will probably be done later in the week.

It will be interesting to see what the difference is. Before we had insulation, in winter, upstairs would be freezing cold, and in summer it was baking hot, so if it stays warm upstairs this winter, we'll know it's doing it's job. :)

Also, getting boards down means I can get rid of all the clutter around the house. things like boxes of christmas decorations (they're currently in the living room as there's nowhere else to put them) tools, paints, computer bits etc. Yay!
  • I found them with the cushions and throws accross from the bedding i my local asda.
