I've been thinking about doing something similar my self with an old quilt,it's a good way to use up old clothes rather than giving them away and a nice worthwhile activity too. Very good idea larmy :cool:0

Thanks to whomever first mentioned the Asda smartprice fleece blankets. I have just amended my order to include a chocolate coloured one. (£1.77 online. If its any lower when it arrives I'll let you know.)
Have also added a radiator airer so that if we are only drying a few bits we don't whack the tumble dryer on.
MethererNot heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

Just skim read this post, its lovely. I am preparing for winter so far by
- arranging for my boiler to be serviced this week
- sorting out wardrobes to make the warmer clothes more accessable
- bought my DS a brilliant like new coat at car boot for £1.50, he is only 16 months old so it should fit him by winter, its wool and its like a duffle coat.
- check out my own winter coat, not had a new one for years and I hate it
- planning winter garden0
