its a fabric 'bag', about 8"x5" or however big you want to make it. you leave one end open, fill it 3/4 full with dried rice, or wheat, or dried peas (i think), sew up the end

you then put it in the m/wave next to a cup of water (to keep rice moist) and zap it for maybe 2mins

its a bit like a hot water bottle, and will keep you toasty warm :D then when it goes cold, you just keep sticking it back in the m/wave with a mug of water and reheat it....dead easy ;)

    Updating my list :
    1. [STRIKE]Buy washing up bowl (use kettle to boil the water instead of having emersion on all day and means I might wash up more often :o )[/STRIKE]
    2. Buy new thick curtains for :
      • [STRIKE]Livingroom[/STRIKE]
      • [STRIKE]DD's bedroom [/STRIKE] Changed my mind on this one - will use the HM lined ones instead ;)
    3. Buy curtains/material to make curtains for
      • Kitchen / livingroom Material bought for downstairs just need to make the curtains now.
      • Doors upstairs
    4. Instant glazing for all windows
    5. Expanding foam & re-seal all downstairs windows.
    6. Speak to landlady about getting guttering looked at.
    7. Draught excluder's for all the doors (8 in total - there's a hell of a draft from the under stairs cupboard so that's included! ) going to see which ones need them, looking at 3 so far I think ;)
    8. Rug for dining room & by desk
    9. Look for throws etc for livingroom. 1 new blanket down, will see what else I can get ;)
Looks like a trip to the local DIY shop next week with DD on our next (possibly last?) trip to town of the holidays ;)

Definitely planning to do that this weekend too. Found some lovely thick satiny ribbon in a haberdashery shop, so hoping to edge the blankets and make them look even more cosy.
