Winchelsea...what a good idea about knitting the instep and sole of socks separately, congratulations on the invention! My late MIL used to knit nylon yarn in with the wool for the heels and toes of socks....not easy to get nylon now though, is it?
Csarina...learnt to knit socks on 4 needles so is the easiest way for me to do them.

Oh no they will sell out now. I knew I should have got one yesterdayI have every possession I want. I have a lot of friends who have a lot more possessions. But in some cases I feel the possessions possess them, rather than the other way round0 -

Nice if you don't need to go to the loo quickly or into a cold loo!0 -

They're 122 x 152 cm so would nearly fit, that would be good enough for me!!0 -

Thanks for that. Also how would I fix them on?? I was thinking I would have to physically sew them on to the curtains or use wonderweb but if they aren't quite as big, maybe I shouldn't do that. They are tab-top if that makes a difference.Skint but happy with my lovely family

You can use safety pins on the back of the curtains, easy to put up & take down that way. I tried velcro once but it wasnt strong enough to hold the weight. I have eyelet curtains, I cut a small hole in the fleece, put a bit of ribbon through it & tied it around the curtain pole but in the part behind the curtain, if you know what I mean!0 -
Brilliant, I'll try that. Thanks a lot.

i've got one (well a cheaper version, same thing different brand name) and i love it. i find the pocket on the front is nice when i'm curled up on the sofa, i tuck the remote in there and don't have to keep wondering where it's gone off too
i don't trip on mine (i'm 5' 6.5") but you have to be careful doing anything near water, best to take it off really and i wouldn't go near an open flame wearing one!
you can also wear them back wards like an oversized robe if necessary, the wee one is always snuggling up in it if i'm not using it.0 -
Why not use safety pins?"This site is addictive!"
