Lol! Me neither!
Yeah, they've got some for £6 too, but there's no way I'm spending that much:rotfl:
I'm still miffed that none of last year's, reduced to £3, are in my sizeRefusing to Sit Down & Shut Up since 19740 -

My sock pattern is both 4 and 2 needles!
Love knitting socks on 4 needles, but when I divide for the heel I just continue on the two needles along the sole, then knit the instep (also on two needles) to the same length, graft together and sew up.
This means:
1. If the wearer goes through socks wholesale you can knit the heel and sole in double wool for twice the life
2. When the soles do wear through you can unpick the seams and re-knit them. Sewing up in a slight contrast wool makes the unpicking easier. Or, you can knit the heel and sole in a complete contrast if you want. I used some 1960s nylon yarn (found in a CS) like this, and DH has not made any impression on them despite constant wear.
I haven't seen this anywhere else to my knowledge, but made it up when one of my DSILs wore through the first pair of 'normal' 4-needle socks I made for him.Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -

Hi
Our stairs go up from the living room too. We always got a draught down the stairs so was cold on the back of your neck - horrible. We initially solved it by hanging some thick curtains across. It didn't look great, but it saved stiff necks! Is that a possibility for you?
We have solved the problem more permanently now by building a wall instead of the very 1960s open plan look and opening up the cupboard under the stairs (which was totally useless as it opened at the short end, if you know what I mean, so that we couldn't get at the stuff at the back of a long narrow cupboard) Now we have a useable room space instead - without a draught!0 -
Ooh! Thanks for the info re primark! I will get some this week....:)Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790

Just tried my new Primark pyjamas on - gosh, aren't they small!
Luckily I thought they looked on the small side, so I bought the 16-18 rather than the 12-14, but the bottoms are way smaller than the size 14 Asda ones I have! They fit, but I hope they don't shrink when I wash them! (or my bottom doesn't get any bigger)

Thanks for that Princess Kate. Can you tell me what size they are? I have a pair of curtains for my dd's room and I want to use the fleece to line them... each curtain is 168x137cm...Skint but happy with my lovely family

That's a thought, I should look at my thermals, I'm sure a few more sets would be useful.
I've had some from Primark that I bought a couple of years ago that have lasted well, they are lovely and fluffy inside
It's a bit hit and miss in there, but the hits can be really good!Refusing to Sit Down & Shut Up since 19740 -
Primark have adult fleece sleep suits like the ones babies wear for £8. Not the sexiest garment but would be nice and cosy especially as I live in a freezing cold Victorian house.I have every possession I want. I have a lot of friends who have a lot more possessions. But in some cases I feel the possessions possess them, rather than the other way round0
