I've dropped the ball with making any money this month. There's lots going on but selling stuff off hasn't had a look in. I've made about a fiver this month so far-abysmal.
Right now I need to concentrate on the business and sorting the house out.
Today I shall be mainly :
    clearing dining table
    clearing lounge,
    Sorting kitchen out
Doing about 5 loads of washing
    Putting clean laundry away

Oh well, Tattycath, console yourself with the knowledge that I have made even less :D.

Although in fairness I have done some overtime this month so I will reap the benefits of that in due course.

I didn't make any targets in August but never mind, it's summer (in theory). There's always September :D.

Keep up the good work and remember to take some time for yourself :).

    Hi peaceandfreedom.
I need new targets for September.

My main target from right now:
To get a proper handle on household finances
    Budget
Cut grocery spends to £200 a month-max, including pet food and cleaning products etc.
    Meal plan.
    Keep a spending diary
Eat out of store cupboard and freezers as much as possible during September.

These are my priorities going forward from now and for September.

I've received an unexpected bill... I'm sure I should have expected it, basically I dropped the ball. :o:(
As a result of this it's 'operation cutback.'
So, going forward I've set the household grocery bill-including pet food and cleaning materials etc at £200 a month. If anyone wants anything extra, they can pay for it themselves.
I'm keeping a spending diary again, so I can keep tabs on all my own spending and grocery spends too. Mr tc said he would pay for today's shopping, which is great but I told him it's all part of the same budget. £200 for the month-regardless of who pays.
I've written down all today's grocery spends.
I remembered on the way to checkout to go back to the bakery and ask for some fresh yeast-Mr @sd@ give it away free if you ask. :) so I intend to make some bread.
I found an interesting recipe that I want to try:
    http://jezebel.com/5881847/how-to-make-easy-fast-foolproof-bread-from-scratch
I've also come across a recipe for tortillas.
I've copied and pasted one of the old style recipe links to the first page of my diary, so I don't have to trawl through quite so many to find it.
I'm doing a menu plan for the month too.
September I'm going for 10 no spend days.
If my calculations are correct ( as accurately as I can calculate when my income isn't a guaranteed amount a month), I should have got myself sorted in a couple of months-just in time for Christmas hopefully.
I need to sell as much stuff as I can to clear some clutter and get some extra income.
I have stale stuff on the bay that needs to come off and go to charity and then I will start with a fresh slate and find and list as much stuff as I can.

    Targets for September:
Spend a maximum of £200 for groceries, pet food and cleaning stuff.
    10 no spend days
Make at least £250 getting rid of unwanted/no longer needed stuff
Eat out of the freezer/store cupboards for at least a week.
    Clear some clutter
    Sort out DVDs and CDs-again.
Keep a diary of all my spends.
I'm not waiting for September to make a start, I started today.

Yesterday, Whilst shopping, Mr tc put 4 burgers in trolley-not on list. :( but they were reduced in price. They were really thick too. I convinced Mr tc that one each was enough. I rolled them out so they were twice the size but half as thick. :)
We had them with roast vegetables-part of freezer cull and hash browns, also part of cull. The other 2 burgers were bagged up and frozen for another day. :)
Today, I have had a quarter of a trifle-another of mr tc's trolley additions and a banana.
Evening meal for us both was: chicken carbonara-chicken was for yesterday until mr tc fancied. Burger. I used fennel instead of onions-I had 2 packs I bought in reduced section for 10p a pack. :) it gave it a nice different flavour. I also threw in the rest of the frozen roast veg and some mushrooms that had been languishing in the fridge for far too long. There is enough left to do at least 4 more portions...
question is: can I freeze it now I've mixed it with pasta?
If not, it looks like it's going to be a pasta day tomorrow again.

Work: I have been going through lots of figures and I've decided, if we do similar monetary value to last year, and if I continue to budget well, we should have no problem sorting out future bills and will even have some savings-fingers crossed.
today I have managed a no spend day :j
