New Diary, New Start-mortgage be gone
Comments
-
From the targets I made for 2016, I am pleased to say I'm half way to target with mortgage payments, :j
The loft is a steady work in progress
I am selling loads of stuff and I've already donated loads of stuff to charity in a vain attempt to get rid of some stuff.
Maintenance and essential jobs are underway
Decorating is on a back burner, temporarily
Emergency fund and project fund appear to have merged a bit...I think I have about 2.5 k but that may go down a bit this week. So I still have a long way to go to have the comfortable cushion of savings I would like to have.
So despite everything, even though the start of this year was rubbish and certain things have recently happened that have not been helpful, I'm still pretty happy with progress so far. :jGE 36 *MFD may 2043

I have just spent 5 minutes finding this 2016 targets post...sums up my life really, the fact that I couldn't find it.
I am so disorganised. I'm sure there's a book for that-how to be more organised....I'm open to any hints, tips and ideas. All suggestions welcome
How about adding your target list for the year to your 1st post, that way you'll always find it, and change it year on year
As for selling loads of stuff - All suggestions welcomeAlways have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

That's a brilliant idea! Thank you.
Re. Selling loads of stuff...
I have loads of stuff because I love buying clothes...it's great at the time and then I end up with loads of clothes I've either never or hardly ever worn...or so many that they won't all fit where they are supposed to live, or they don't look as good on me as I first thought.
I start hobbies and collections, full of enthusiasm and then I either don't have time or I run out of steam or the enthusiasm leaves me and I get bored. Sometimes I just start one thing after another and then I've got too much going on so I just put them to one side, I always mean to go back to them later but... This is just a small insight as to why I am never short of something to sell/get rid of.
I currently sell on the bay. I am looking into other selling platforms
Ebid-I have tried on there before and it was rubbish
Etsy-I think is for selling stuff you've crafted/made yourself and I'm just getting rid of stuff I no longer need or want, so that's no good for me.
Folksy is like etsy
Selling on facebook...I might try that, if successful there will be no fees
Too much going on in my life to do carboots as well
So, eBay and Facebook...if anyone can suggest any others that would be great.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

We've got a lot going on at the moment and haven't got the space to have washing hung up anywhere.
The tumble dryer is a necessary expense. I also have a wash basket full of washing that needs doing this weekend.interspersed with all the other stuff that needs doing.

Luckily I have space, and if the washing's on then the dryer is not, one and the same.
Still not made it out the door- yet - having another cuppa after having a shower and drying hair.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190
