Have a good Sunday all xxMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Freezing the chocolate segments seems to work well as they are out of sight in the freezer and also wrapped in foil so it is a much more concious decision to take some out.
I had about four pieces last night but did not feel tempted to get more which is really unusual for me.
Have dd here so was going to offer her a SW brunch if she fancies it and do beef, lots of green veg and SW toast potatoes maybe with a Tzatiki dip."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
Hiya everyone, good news I have lost 1 lb yippee I thought I was stuck in a rut.:j:j:j
Hope there is good news for everyone too0 -
I am not a big snacker, but recently I treated myself with
-Morrisons Apple Turnover
-One Roses chocolate
The sugar taste was so overwhelming and disgusting, I nearly felt sick.
I agree with Maman depriving yourself of treats 'bit by bit' is the way forward. This way the sugar cravings will be less, and the impact on positive health will be greater,
I can honestly say that I have lost my sweeet tooth: Snickers, Bounty, Twix, Topic & Skittles plus my Apple turnover with cream just taste horrible now!
I am sure sugar is an addictive substance (frightening).
Info:
Snacking was introduced as a way to see more to the consumer, there was a time before snacking existed; we can manage without snacking very well.
Undo the programming!
Well done everyone for sticking with it!!!!!!
Our tastes do definitely change Smedley. When I first started with SW back in April 2014, most days I would have some form of chocolate, whether it be a finger of twirl, kit kat, jaffa cake or a couple of squares of chocolate. Just looking back over this week's food, chocolate is appearing much less. Don't get me wrong, I still love the stuff but I think by having some each day, stopped me from feeling deprived and I know I can have some if I work it in. More likely now to fancy a bag of crisps which I didn't bother with much in the early days. Now I keep some of the Pufts (3.5syns) and some other low syn crispy snack things should I get the urge for some. On the rare occasion I have had a cream cake now, I get annoyed with myself for having it as they are never as nice as I remember them. How is your Mum doing these days?
Could you use the cornichons in some sort of hotpot/stew shala. Is it the taste or texture you are not keen on?
Going to cook our pork joint in oven rather than SC so SW roasties will be making an appearance tonight. I am setting myself a challenge for today - not one tiny morsel of crackling will pass my lips.
Nice and bright and sunny here today. First lot of washing out and the load of towels has just finished so I had better shift off the sofa and get them hung out. Pity most of the garden is in the shade till late afternoon..
Have a good day everyone

Hello everyone - I just wondered if I could ask you all a quick question? I had a general anaesthetic a week ago, although I have been following the plan (have been successful in the past). I have found that I have put on 2lbs since I started, so the little I lost in the first two weeks have gone back on. Getting to the point, does anyone have an idea if a GA can muck your system up? I have been constipated and things are only started getting back to normal there - sorry to be so graphic!
The depressing thing is other then this I've been really good which includes no wine for the last three weeks! Obviously I'm not after a medical opinion, but wondered if anyone else has been in the same boat.
Thanks guys, any reassurance would be helpful, as I am really deflated x0 -

I don't know about GA but I've minor procedures in recent years involving local anaesthetic and it was awful, I reacted badly both times and really hope I don't have to have it again. Both times after the procedure I fainted immediately on sitting up, I was only out for a few seconds but felt hot and sweaty for a while and very sick. To matters worse for hours afterwards I felt cold and had a raging appetite
I hope you feel better soonI'm sending virtual hugs your way

Morning all, oh...afternoon actually!
Right today hopefully I've got things sorted and am in a better place food wise. I went to Asda this morning and stocked up on bits including frozen veg and fruit. I bought 3 packs of frozen berries which I intend to add to my breakfasts and also have with yoghurt as a snack.
Today the plan is / will be:
Breakfast - Fried egg, mushrooms, tomato, red onion, bacon, and two heck chicken sausages (1 syn) cooked in frylight and a coffee (part of HEA)
Lunch - bowl of soup (butternut squash, onion and potato)
Dinner - I have a casserole/stew on the go in the slow cooker at the moment. It consists of shin of beef, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onion with stock. I didn't follow a recipe, just chucked it all in and crossed my fingers LOL. We'll eat that tonight with some mash on the side, broccoli and cabbage.
Syns wise, depends if I have the room after all thatI will update later.

It can be quite frustrating Arkers when we don't get the results we were expecting. I was gutted last week when I had a gain of 1.5lb after what I thought had been a fairly good week. This week I'd be surprised if I see a loss and I know I have been good. I have done food diary to hand in too so we shall see what comes of that. I don't know if GA could affect losses, but depending on what you have had done, have you been less active than usual. I totally sympathise with the loo issues as I am in the same boat atm. In my opinion, what goes in, must come out (sorry for the Sunday lunchtime topic) so this could possibly be hampering your loss too. Are you taking meds that could have an effect - dr told Mum the codeine she has been taking will be bunging her up. Are you having plenty of fluids? I am trying to make a conscience effort to get plenty into me. Hang on in there and hopefully we will get the results we are looking for soon.Morning all, oh...afternoon actually!
