Don't know why I have put that much on :(

I haven't swayed that much off track had thick potato hash one day and a cream cake another but apart from that nothing much different :(

Must be more careful this week :)

I am still under goal weight :D

  • Today hasn't been so bad:

breakfast: bran flakes (heb) with 1/2 hea semi skimmed plus strawberries and a banana
lunch: jacket potato, baked beans, spinach, beetroot, red pepper, cucumber and sweetcorn
tea: salmon, new potatoes, baby carrots, peas, sweetcorn, spinach, tomato, onion, beetroot and red pepper
syns: chocolate fingers (8syn) foam banana and shrimp sweets (7syn)

    Plan for tomorrow:
breakfast: full English at an event I'm speaking at - far too many syns for one meal but worth it
lunch: don't usually bother on a Friday if I've been to tomorrow's event venue; the plan is to take fruit with me to keep me going
Tea: theres just mean and wonder bairn as bf won't be back until quite late - I haven't really decided yet. I'm thinking of meatballs but with mash and onion gravy rather than tomato sauce and pasta...just for the change

    Hello All,

I joined SW last week...I wasn't very successful in my first week due to too many meals out (& wine) but tried to stick to plan when I wasn't out & lost 1/2.

This week I've been good but i can't feel any difference in myself...I think I'm sticking to the rules but would appreciate advice on my food diary.

    Today;
    B1: x1 egg salmon & broccoli omelette
B2: 35g porridge (HEB) with almond milk (count this as HEA along with milk in tea...approx 4 cups per day)
L: half aldi packet cous cous with hm roasted veg & chicken (cooked in fry lite)
D: king prawn stir fry with dry noodles (garlic, chilli, soya & 5 spice only)
S: 1x clementine, 1x "healthy cookie" made of oats & banana with pecan nuts and peach, kiwi & frozen raspberries with lidl 2% fat Greek yogurt

I would be interested to know what people think of my meal diary in general. I try to be good so no biscuits, crisps etc but I am weak when it comes to eating out. Also, I'm not a great fan of low fat as often I find the food to be full of sugar & I'd rather eat wholefoods that are good for you. For instance I tried the FF natural yogurt but I really didn't like it after being used to eating full fat greek yogurt so the compromise was to buy the 2%.

Tomorrow is Friday....I am always good with breakfast (albeit I usually eat two due to early rise & no lunch until 1pm) & lunch as I can only eat what I take to work but will struggle at the weekend to not eat out or drink wine!!

Need to be strong & committed. On a side note I only want to lose around 7-10lbs but I'm still finding it hard as in general I don't eat too badly but I do like big portions so think I need to cut down portion size to see a difference.

I'll have a think about my plan for the day and report back later

Have you thought about making a plan for a week liz? That way you don't get caught unprepared and you can always switch meals around within the week. It also has the benefit of just shopping for foods that fit the plan. I always plan in some ready meals (you can have HM if you've time or by in some low syn ready made) for days when you're tired or busy or just CBA.

I'd be interested in seeing that pizza recipe debbie. I found one which was 6 syns per portion (quarter of the pizza) for the base made with flour and yeast and then the cheese was a HEA (or 6 more syns if you didn't use a HEA). Some people make pizza using a HEB wholemeal sandwich thin with HEA cheese and that's free but uses all your HEXs for the day. OK if you're craving pizza I suppose.

Austrian Hash was big hit again tonight. It did have a few syns as I added a small piece of chorizo and sprinkled some cheese on top but it was yummy. I need to do very little shopping tomorrow as using up veg from bottom of fridge and meat from freezer for next few days:).

debbie - is that the recipe from last month's booklet? If so it says 6 syns per portion Plus 6 syns if not using your HEA for mozerella. So it actually works out at 12 syns per portion without using your HEA!

I have found the mullerlight coffee multipacks. YAY!
They are 3 packs for £5. Haven't had one yet because I'm eating other ones up but am very excited. They are on sale in Asda but presume they will now appear everywhere.
