Just tried Lantannas cheesy mushrooms, oh my they are lovely, I added garlic and black pepper and had them with bacon and grilled tomato, used my two slices wholemeal for toast. A real feast.
Sounds lovely Meg, they are def great done this way. I find you get more of a sauce than if you were to add the cheese in a pan.0 -
No probs at all Shala
BEG just whatever you like yourself. I've used the Philly Light with Chives and the Asda Light Garlic ones. Think they would be nice with any soft cheese that you like.
I love mushrooms so I love having these.
Liz - You could take your HE(B) and use it as bread to have with a salad. I often throw a load of stuff in a box and take it to work with me. Today I have chopped peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, jalepeonos, pickles, HE (a) feta cheese, rocket and a tin of tuna with some light mayo on the top. Oh Maman would be proud of me :rotfl:
For breakfast I boiled 2 eggs whilst I was getting ready and just grabbed them to have in a sandwich thin with tomato when I hit my desk.0 -
Hi all, know we’re in October already, but can I still join your challenge?
I started at SW (again) last Thursday and am trying to lose 21lb initially (club10) – should probably lose closer to 60lb, but that’s a bit daunting, so going to start with an interim figure that seems slightly more achievable J!
My Halloween goal (Th 24/09 to Th 29/10) is 10lb
Food has been not too bad this week – think I’ve just about stayed within Syns limit, but have been a bit low on Speed Foods (esp as I thought Banana’s were included until reading some of the posts here J) and on fluids (seem to get stuck at 5).Body Magic has also been going well – have been doing classes for the last few months at local Sports Centre and about a month ago I started jogging (or more correctly "shuffling" as I heard it called on the radio J).
I’m quite good at starting things, but not very good at following through; so I’m hoping that this time, having already established a bit more routine with the exercise, and sharing the ups and downs with others in the same boat might help keep me on the straight and narrow for longer than the 4-5 weeks I normally manage.
Thanks, K.

Yep, here it is October! Need to give myself a kick up the bottom. Still haven't lost anything!
Setting myself a mini goal to shift 4 by the end of October. I really need to see a change in the scales soon or I'll go mental.0 -
Morning all
All this talk about stuffed mushrooms makes me so envious! I've tried and tried to like mushrooms and although I can eat them in small amounts, I really can't say I like them enough to eat a large one whole. (Stop it Shala!) They're the perfect food for SW too - just what you need to make up the plate if you're having bacon and eggs on a EESP day. I blame my mother, she hated them and used to be horrified at the very thought of eating them or even having them in the house. I didn't realise my Dad liked them until they got divorced! :rotfl:
Liz - hope you managed to find something for lunch. I used to go to college on a Thursday afternoon too, and we didn't finish until 8pm so by 6pm my stomach would start rumbling loudly, regardless of whatever I'd managed to grab for lunch.
Debbie - of course you don't need to go anywhere else, do whatever works for you.
orlao - boredom can set in when you're feeling deprived, so do make sure you're using all your syns, and preferably on treats that you'd miss. Try to make your meals as syn free as possible so you've got more to play with, and you can save up your syns if you want to, so if you know there's a birthday cake imminent, put a few syns aside and allow yourself a slice of cake. You may even find that when you know it's okay to have it, that it isn't as great as you thought anyway. :rotfl:
Beanie - welcome back from your holidays. Not sure if you need to rejoin, would that be the best thing for you, maybe to focus your mind?
Well I think I've prattled on long enough, I need to go and put a spag bol in the slow cooker for later, and I think I'll make some BNS soup as well. I'm sure DH can manage in the shop on his own for an hour or so, we only had 6 customers yesterday morning! :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone.

That's pretty much where I am this month for the whole month! Just going to make the best of things and battle on. Taking a month to relax, decluttering, getting through the reading and getting the house sorted.
Just got a massive bag of mushrooms in Tesco reduced to 50p so will be doing something with them tonightI'm going to try and up my exercise. I've set myself a target for the amount of exercise calories I want to burn off in a week (according to my polar watch) so that will keep me amused trying to get it! My gym membership is also paid so costs me nothing to use it.
I hope to really only have to buy meats and fresh veg from now until the end of the month.0 -
can anyone help me please,
I just got a iceland roast chicken & stuffing dinner.
But do not know how many syns it is?
I thought I'd use my syns allowance on it to save me cooking tonight.
Think it's abt 9Kindness costs nothing0 -

If it's the meal for one dinner rather than the easy carve joint then it's 11 syns. If you want to use it up then go for it.
I've had SW breakfast (scrambled egg on HEB) and I've got LO veg to use up for lunch with some ham. need to do my meal plan before deciding on dinner. I only have until Wednesday to plan for with 1 meal out so must make sure I use up fresh stuff before buying more.
Hope you have good news at WI denise and great to see you back beanie. Good to have you back on board too Kaz.
