I posted last week that i was doing training for the Cardiff half marathon... I've been doing daily runs of about 7 miles and physically i'm in a decent condition! My BMI is 22 and i have 14.9% body fat. Some how since doing these runs i have put on weight, 4lbs to be exact

I'm 1 of these people who can eat anything and not put on any weight but i do more vigorous exercise and i put on weight, how has that happened?

I did read that exercise can make you put on a bit as muscle is heavier than fat, don't know if its true.

Thanks for all the speed food lists :) that was very nice of you to do that. I have decided just to stick with the 2014 SW book though ( people did lose weight on that in 2014) and to be honest its all such a HUGE healthy change for me it should have a good affect :) . I get all the S & P days ect as a friends doing it through a meeting at the moment. I just cant afford it weekly right now.

So just want to check with you all , is it still ok to take part in the Slimming World Challenge with you guys or should I join another diet forum ?

    Thanks
    Debbie x

I lost 6.7 stone using that format:rotfl: So it does work. Do what suits you! Of course you can still take part here. A lot of people tweak bits and pieces to suit them and don't follow the plan to the letter anyway

I'm away to Northumberland at the weekend for a week so no weigh in for me next week.
Not really off plan but eating up for the next couple of days so hopefully I can counteract any damage with that and the hotel food with all the walking we will be doing.

    Evening all

I forgot to post last night my plan for today, so here goes...

Breakfast - bacon sandwich, lean bacon no butter in a deli style roll (I'm counting 9 syns for the roll to be safe)
Lunch - pasta with a sauce made from pasatta, mushrooms, red onion and quorn pieces
Dinner - salmon fillet, broccoli, courgette and new potatoes all cooked in frylight
    Snacks - banana and apples
I also had milk in coffee as my HEA

Just tried Lantannas cheesy mushrooms, oh my they are lovely, I added garlic and black pepper and had them with bacon and grilled tomato, used my two slices wholemeal for toast. A real feast.

    Back again!

I desperately need to get organised this weekend....

I go to college Thursday afternoons and have no idea what to take with me for lunch tomorrow, there are no canteen facilities as the site is shared with a private company and we don't have the run of the place. I need to take something I can eat in my car before I have to go to class.....hmmmmm

How about a salad with hard boiled egg(s), ham, new potatoes, cherry tomatoes etc. You can chuck it all in a lunch box in the morning and all you need is a fork to eat it.

That sounds brilliant, unfortunately though I'm disorganised enough to not have any of that in the fridge....lol! well we have tomatoes and lettuce, and bacon......could make a BLT salad I guess, better than nothing!

Edit to add, we also have new potatoes hanging around and cucumber, red peppers....salad it is then, I do wonder how filling that will be though? I need plenty of energy to get me through a tough afternoon's lessons
