Hi all I have a question, I fancy a bacon sandwich tomorrow but don't have any small wholemeal rolls or bread. I'll have to make do with a deli style roll from Asda which has around 170 calories- how many syns should I count?They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Today:
B - Mullerlight with berries and pomegranate
D - Smoked salmon salad (leaves, carrot, cucumber and balsamic)
T - Jacket spuds with 4 syns low fat cheese, carrot, cucumber, 3 syns light mayo.
HEXA - Milk in drinks
HEXB - 1 small slice wholemeal bread, 1 Alpen light bar
Syns - 3 for sugar in coffee, 5 for chocolate, total: 15 - yikes.

You might change your mind after I've been nagging you:o. Sorry to say but your menu today doesn't have any Speed food in it. If you look at your books parsnips and sweetcorn are just free food and you didn't have any veg with your other meals. Extra Easy will only work if you have at least a third of Speed fruit and/or veg. You have eaten quite healthily today (except for missing breakfast) so that'll help but you really need to focus on upping the Speed food.
Tomorrow's menu looks like it could be much better. Try to have Speed fruit with your oats, make the soup with plenty of veg and if you can add some diced carrots or peppers or mushrooms (or all three;)) to your chilli.
I think denise said, you really don't need to buy Nimble unless you really like it. Any wholemeal bread will be fine and a lot less expensive. Ideally buy a 400g loaf then you can have 2 slices a day.
liz it's hard to say about your bread roll without more than just the calories but it could be 9 or 10 syns. Why not have bacon with a fry up instead?0 -

, I did note there was not alot of speed foods and I think its gonna take me small steps learning and adding them in on a regular basis
...... Shopping day today so I should have more of a speed food selection to chose from.
The soup will be full to the brim with Carrots and Leeks for lunch (mums lentil soup recipe) and Dinner I will not put the extra veg in as the teens will pull faces (might get away with a grated carrot in the sauce). Passata and chopped tomatoes a speed food ? But I personally think I will have a huge side salad with mine. Oh and Blueberries (frozen) went on the oats last night.
Exercise today will be charity shop shopping in seaford for the day
Oh also what day do we all weigh in or is it just which ever for each ?
I still think your an awesome bunch , I like to be kept on my toes , got loads to loose x0 -

Unfortunately the blueberries you had with your porridge last night are only Free food not Speed:(.
Not sure if you go to Group or are an online member but if you use the diary on line you can check whether foods are Speed or not.

Last night's Quorn sausage casserole was revolting! The texture of the sausages was really weird. Definitely won't be making that again!
Of course that means I've had to rejig my plan for today as I was going to have LO casserole for lunch today! Was also going to use my HEB for breakfast but now want it for bread at lunchtime.
Today's plan is to have an EE day:
B - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes
L - ham salad sandwich (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, beetroot, cornichon)
D - chilli (with added veg) from freezer with rice.
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - mayo instead of spread 1
Not sure what else but have 8.5 syns left so may have a couple of crackers & butter for supper (8 syns)

Hi all
Quick post from me. Have been MIA as we are decorating the house at the moment so things are displaced and it seems to take ages just to do the simplest of jobs. Also really hectic at work so doing a bit of work at home too!!
Well done to all the losers and welcome to all the joiners - wow a lot of new faces which is lovely.
Well a 1lb gain for me last night. So I have 12 weeks to xmas and I really want to lose that stone so need to get my head down and focus.
meal plan for today
Breakfast: Toast, jam (1 syn) and DG latte (2.5 syns)
snack: summer fruits with yoghurt
lunch: couscous with chickpeas, roasted red peppers, cucumber, spring onion, mint, lemon juice, and feta cheese (HeA)
dinner: fish, new potatoes and mixed veg (babycorn, mangetout and carrots)
depending how I feel later I may use some more syns but otherwise I will bank them for wine at the weekend.0 -

Hi Denise,
I am following the 2014 book and in there the blue berries are not speedy but the are a superfree. I thought I was to do free and a third superfree foods and use as many speed as I like ??0
